BHASTRIKA PRANAYAMA

IntroductionBreathing activity (inhaling and exhaling) has to do fast in this pranayama. Bhastrik is called dhamani in Sanskrit language. It has been called bhastrika in yoga because the speed of breathing activity (inhaling and exhaling) of the person is like dhamani of louhar in this pranayama. This pranayama makes the mind and vitality stable and it is helpful in the awakening of kundilini power too. Yogis changed their fickle semen into steam again by the practice of this pranayama. The practice of this pranayama is done by the two techniques. First techniqueFirst, sit in padma asana or sukha asana for practice of this pranayama. Now put your left hand palm near the navel upwardly. After that, touch thumb of right hand near the right nostril and middle and index finger near the left nostril. Thus, do the practice of this activity 3-5 times. Second techniqueSit in padma asana for the practice and put both the hands on the knees. Now take breath with speed through both the nostrils and exhale. After that, take deep breath and stop according to your capacity and apply jalandhara bandha. Stay in this position for sometime.
