The Aquaterm condensers are designed for Heavy Duty use in RSW-, freezing-,
and AC systems. The condensers are produced in land- and marine versions.
Marine condensers longer than 2,5 metres have drainage tubes in the edges,
compensating for the rolling of the ship.

The TK series is built with tubes and tubesheets of pure titanium, and offers a
corrosion proof alternative for sea water, brackish water, and other corrosive liquids.

The condensers have plain tubes (no fins at the refrigerant side). Consequently,
they are mainly designed for ammonia systems. Plain tubes are less efficient for
the R 507 refrigerant, but for use in corrosive environments, the titanium version
may be a cost efficient alternative also for R 507.

The connections between the tubes and the tube sheet are welded.
The shell is produced of seamless tube, St 35.8, sand blasted inside and outside,
and protected with two coats of paint.
The water heads are produced of polyethylene (small models) or vinyl ester
for (large models) supported by hot dip galvanized steel plates.
The water connections are DIN PN 10 flanges.
Selection of condenser
To select a condenser, start by calculating the load ratio, which is the condenser
capacity in kW divided by the difference between the condensation temperature
and the incoming water temperature:
Q
kW/C
( T cond - T in)
Select a condenser with an LR that is higher than the calculated value from the
tables on the following pages.
