vPlane
Brocades vPlane architecture delivers unprecedented performance by utilizing the Intel DPDK to separate the routers control plane from its forwarding plane. Isolating forwarding on individual x86 cores eliminates resource contention while also leveraging vPlanes new high-speed packet pipeline architecture.

Traffic Management
The Brocade Vyatta vRouter provides a variety of QoS queuing mechanisms that can be applied to inbound traffic and outbound traffic for identifying and prioritizing applications and traffic flows.

Network Connectivity
At the core of the Brocade Vyatta vRouter is a powerful routing engine with full support for IPv4 and IPv6 dynamic routing protocols (BGP Multipath, OSPFv2 & v3, RIP), Multicast, Policy Based Routing (PBR), NAT and DHCP. Vyatta vRouter systems include support for a variety of 10/100 thru 10 GB Ethernet NICs.

High Availability
Mission critical networks can deploy the Brocade Vyatta vRouter with the confidence that high availability and system redundancy can be achieved through an industry standard failover and synchronization mechanisms.

IPv6 Compatibility

Administration & Authentication

Brocades Vyatta vRouters can be managed through our familiar network-centric command line interface, web-based GUI or through external management systems using Vyattas Remote Access API. All network management sessions can be securely managed using SSHv2, RADIUS or TACACS+.

Eliminate single purpose hardware from the mission. Routing, firewall and VPN can all be provided as a VM on existing servers.

Monitoring and Reporting
