Be prepared to sing a song from 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and read from the script. You may sing a second song that you have prepared. Everyone who auditions will get a role. NO CUTS. REHEARSALS: Not all actors are called to all rehearsals. However, actors are expected to attend 100% of rehearsals for which they are called. Principal actors can expect approximately 4 rehearsals a week. Ensemble actors can expect 2-3 rehearsals a week. All actors are required to attend all rehearsals from 3/9-3/23. Here is a DRAFT rehearsal schedule. Specific times (especially in tech week) are subject to change, but it should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect. PERFORMANCES: Dress Rehearsal, Thursday, March 20 @ 4:00 pm Friday, March 21 @ 7:00 pm Saturday, March 22 @ 2:00 & 7:00 pm All performances at the Warner Grand Theatre, 478 West 6th St., San Pedro.

FEES: Fees are intended to offset the costs of costumes, scenic elements, microphones, snacks, meals, etc. Fees are charged through the business office. HOWEVER, the fee should not deter any participants from joining the cast or crew. Scholarships are available. Please contact jchoi@rollinghillsprep.org with any questions or concerns. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: Every actor in the show may attend ASP once a week at no charge. There is (usually) no rehearsal Thursday afternoons, making ASP possible. We realize that participating in the musical is a huge commitment, and we want to do everything we can to support your students school work. REHEARSAL GUIDELINES:
You are responsible for your actions. You are responsible for your success. Your actions affect the students around you. Choose to help your cast-members FOCUS. Choose to help your cast-members SUCCEED. Be prepared by: Checking the call board and http://rhp2014usmusical.weebly.com/ for updates and Sign in and out of rehearsal Email Ms. Choi in advance if you have a rehearsal conflict. Bring script and pencil to every rehearsal to write down blocking Wear appropriate clothes and shoes to move in (no open-toe shoes) Bringing and caring for rehearsal props and/or costumes Lines and cues memorized on time (by the second time we rehearse a scene) Keep an open mind: Be willing to repeat, repeat, repeat (and be patient with others as they repeat) Be willing to revise, revise, revise (and be patient with the revisions) Be open to changes and to trying new directions Remember that the work is never finished: Maintain full energy and full commitment Prioritize tasks Focus (on stage and off) Be quiet and respectful offstage and in the house Continue to help others when your time is unscheduled. Respect the work of others: Do not touch props that are not yours Do not play with your props outside of rehearsal All props should remain in their place on the prop table Do not eat or drink (other than water) in costume Any costume pieces stay at school (even if they are your personal items) Do not change your appearance (including hair cuts) without consulting Mrs. Choi.
