I am interested in the position because of my prior experience with county government. It was a positive experience and I would like to continue my career along this path.

I believe that I am a good fit for this position because of my experience. I am currently employed by the City of Fargo Assessors Office as a Commercial Appraiser. I deal with valuation, maintain public relations, and study market trends. Before that I was employed with Ottertail County as an appraiser from January 2011 to January 2013. During my time there I was responsible for the appraisal and classification of approximately 7,000 parcels including commercial, industrial, residential, lake, and agricultural properties. Prior to that, I was a local independent assessor for townships in Mahnomen County from 2009 to 2010, giving me experience dealing on an individual basis with taxing districts for their assessments.

I am a Certified Minnesota Assessing Specialist (CMAS) and have begun the process of becoming an Accredited Minnesota Assessor (AMA). I hold a Bachelor of University Studies Degree from North Dakota State University. I also have an Associates Degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead. My experience as an assessor for the last 4 years has shown me many of the different aspects of appraisal.
