Metastream flexible all steel couplings set the industry standard for non lubricated couplings in demanding API 610 and API 671 applications. The unique design of the M series spoke form membrane along with the T series scalloped membrane provides solutions for all power transmission applications.

Lemco seal support systems enhance the operating environment for dual mechanical seals, control atmospheric emissions, and provide long life and safety. Lemco gas panels, heat exchangers, separators, and other speciality products are used to enhance mechanical seal performance.

Dry Gas Seals

John Crane has over 40 years of gas seal experience on which to draw. Along with our intimate understanding of the sectors and applications in which these seals operate this has ensured that our dry gas seals have become the accepted solution in many different industries. They offer outstanding versatility and are compatible with virtually any type of gas. Pressures in excess of 200 bar, temperatures up to 400oC and speeds up to 180 m/s can all be accommodated, widening the range of applications on which these seals can be used.

Power Transmission Couplings

Metastream couplings have now become the first choice of many of the world's leading companies. Today, John Cranes policy of constant innovation and product development serves to ensure that Metastream couplings continue to satisfy the changing demands of the market while complying fully with the relevant industry specifications.

Metastream flexible power transmission couplings are designed for applications where the shaft ends are nominally 'in line'. High-speed applications are well served by the couplings high torsional rigidity and natural balance features. Each Metastream coupling incorporates spacer retention anti-fly features, plus an all-metal construction that eliminates the need for lubrication and maintenance and ensures minimal downtime.

Seal Support Systems

Maintaining the correct operating environment is critical if any seal is to operate at its optimum level. With this in mind we offer a comprehensive selection of engineered pressure reservoirs, gas seal control panels, heat exchangers and abrasive separators.

Water Systems
Since the early introduction of elastomer bellows mechanical seals, John Crane has been the leading supplier to manufacturers building pumps for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural water systems. As these applications become more demanding, we continue to innovate with more robust designs and improved materials to meet the need for higher pressures, corrosion, and abrasion.

Commercial and Industrial Range

Following the integration of two re-engineered product ranges, John Crane introduces a new range of mechanical seals aimed at the high volume machinery market. We have taken proven designs updated the manufacturing techniques and also expanded the range of standard dimensions. Materials used throughout are either of our own manufacture or sourced from companies known for their quality and proven over a number of years. We have selected a standard range of materials that meet a very wide range of duties. Suitable for industrial, commercial and residential water systems, heating and cooling systems and pool & spa applications. The new seals fit into a range of standard cavities which cover the majority of the market requirements.

Refrigeration Compressors
John Crane pioneered the development of metal bellows seals for refrigeration compressors to meet the demands imposed by new refrigerants and strict leakage controls on ozone-depleting gases. Today, our seals are fitted on the majority of new manufactured compressors.
