Behavioral Based Safety & Leadership is a 3 day comprehensive training workshop that looks at key safety strategies & methods in achieving zero injury in industry. This results-oriented workshop is based on the premise that people learn by doing. It consists of eight modules that have specific exercises to ensure learning and practice of key skills. At the end of this workshop, all participants will have developed a specific, step-by-step action plan for enhancing safety in their organization.

Creating the Observation Process
Based on research on behavioral safety, a safety observation process is the basic foundation for an effective process. In this module, participants learn: - How to identify and describe safe behaviors - How to involve all employees in designing safety checklists - What options are available for the design of behavioral checklists - How to create an observation process - What are the different types of behavioral observation processes and when are they appropriate Morning exercise: Design of a mock observation checklist and process appropriate to their organization
Safety Leadership
In this module, participants learn: - How to involve upper management - The things exemplary safety leaders do that ineffective leaders do not - How to define the role of management in maintaining the safety process - How to get management started supporting BBS - How to prepare managers and supervisors to respond correctly when confronted with real-time safety issues Afternoon exercise: Practice appropriate responding to employees at critical times.
I have heard Dr. D.J. Moran speak several times in the last year. I believe he is on the cutting edge of changing the way we work to increase worker safe behaviors. His success in impacting behavior outside of industrial safety has direct application in the field of worker safety. Substitutions are welcome at any time. Please notify us at least 2 working days prior to the event. All cancellations will carry a 10% cancellation fee, once a registration form is received.
