Gestamp Wind wins two wind projects in Brazil

Madrid, December the 20th, 2013. Gestamp Wind the wind energy division of Gestamp Renewables (Corporacin Gestamp) has win two new energy sale contracts in Brazil during 20 years for several projects, which will generate 50MWs. With these two parks, Gestamp Wind will own 404MWs in Brazil. These wind parks suppose an additional investment of 70 millions in Brazil. During the 20 years duration of the energy sale agreements, the earnings forecast is 180 millions. Gestamp wind is building 128MW in 5 Brazilian wind farms located in Ro Grande do Norte, that will start generating power in 2014. Other parks in Pernambuco, Ro Grande do Norte and Baha are already generating 112MW. Eduardo Garca Molina, Gestamp Wind Brazils General Manager, stated that with this new project, we consolidate our presence in Brazil as one of the most important markets for Gestamp Wind, that started the bid for Brazilian wind 5 years ago. With these projects, Gestamp Wind will be one of the most important wind energy generators in the country. Besides, Gestamp Wind has a project portfolio for over 500MW in several locations that will be shown to the Brazilian Government for their consideration.
