Advanced Placement with Credit

Students who have successfully completed courses in the Advanced Placement Program of the College Entrance Examination Board with scores of 3, 4, or 5 may earn credit for each advanced placement course. Credit awarded through advanced placement may be used to satisfy graduation requirements, but cannot be used to satisfy the 12-unit residency requirement. Students may have their Advanced Placement Program scores sent to the Admissions and Records Office for credit evaluation.

Veterans Program Military Credit

Veterans Service Center Education Benefits Program Approval Three units for health education and one unit for exercise science may be granted on the basis of military service. When a veteran petitions for graduation from Rancho Santiago Community College District and needs these units for graduation purposes, VAO will verify a request for credit from the DD214. The credit granted can only be used in the Lifelong Understanding and Self-Development area under Plan A. Military credit is not accepted under Plan B or Plan C.
