PLC Information
The Programmable Logic
Controller (PLC) is the heart of
the control system. It ensures
proper sequencing and
protection of the rotating
machinery, lube and seal
systems, and related process
equipment. The PLC can also
interface with client supervisory
and data acquisition equipment.
In designing and building control
systems around most of the
major PLCs, we evaluated and
selected GE Fanuc as our PLC
of choice, due to its proven
performance, worldwide
acceptance and support, and
its adaptability to most control
and client applications.
In keeping with our commitment
to provide you with control solu-
tions that best suit your needs,
we also design systems using
other major PLCs and client-
preferred equipment.
VME Cards
Cards that conform with VME
standards monitor vibration,
temperature, and frequency
and mount in the GE Fanuc PLC
VME-compatible backplane.
The VME-based vibration and
temperature cards are designed
by DRCS and are compat-
ible with all machinery types.
Alarm limit adjustments are
made from the operator inter-
face. Critical control cards are
designed for special
applications.
