Multiple Intelligences

IETS Teacher training programs are based on the Capacity-Building Model. They are designed around research-based practices. They focus on enabling progressive personal and professional development of teachers skills and capabilities. Ultimately it is aimed at making teachers add value to the learning process in terms of what is taught, how students gain access to it, and what human achievements result. 2. Reading Programme This would enable teachers to provide inputs for the formation of healthy reading habits in children. 3. Smart Kit Play and Learn A holistic Pre School Program for schools catering to 3 to 6 year olds. The kit addresses the aesthetic, cognitive/intellectual, physical, language and social skills of children in the target age group. The training program is designed keeping in mind the development needs of children in the specied age group. 4. Lesson plan writing The workshop is designed to teach the importance of lesson planning. Teachers will be able to break lessons into smaller units, design activities that reinforce learning, identify hard spots and develop drill exercises and use their creativity in making worksheets. 5. Kit Based Approach Training in usage of Kits in English, Math and Science A comprehensive learning kit based on conceptual understanding designed to support teachers in making the learning experience more creative, interactive, activity based and easy to deliver. 6. Adding Dimensions - Training for Attitudinal Change This program is aimed at bringing about an attitudinal change in teachers and in redening their role as facilitators and collaborators in the learning process. IT Skills-Foundation Course This is a skill based teacher- training program that trains and motivates teachers to design, develop and deliver technology-enabled lessons. It helps to further develop English skills through: Group exercises Role plays Discussions 9. Constructivist Theory Constructivism entails a paradigm shift in the pedagogical culture of the classroom, which is well facilitated if teachers understand the theory well. It fosters critical thinking and creates active and motivated learners. This training program enables teachers to plan and conduct classes based on constructivist approach. 10. Assessment and Evaluation The purpose of the training program is to provide a deeper insight into the process of assessment and evaluation and to empower teachers with practical class room ideas across different subjects. 11. Multiple Intelligences The workshop emphasizes the importance of the seven intelligences namely: Linguistic Intelligence Logical-mathematical intelligence Spatial intelligence Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence Intrapersonal intelligence Musical intelligence and Naturalist Intelligence Participants will learn to design lesson plans based on the seven intelligences. This will enable them to address the needs of the different learners and their learning styles.

1. Life Skills Program The program will empower teachers to facilitate classroom sessions in Life Skills, which in turn will impact their perception and moderate their attitude to succeed in a competitive environment. This includes Cognitive Skills Social Skills Self-Management Skills Interpersonal Skills. This will consist of an orientation for teachers followed by 15 hrs classroom implementation by the trained teachers.
