Forty Hadith Qudsi Introduction The following is a collection of 40 Hadith Qudsi.

But what is Hadith Qudsi and how do they differ from other Hadith? The following discussion is given in the introduction to the book titled " orty Hadith Qudsi" !ublished by" #evival of $slamic Heritage %ociety& $slamic Translation 'enter& (.).Bo* +,-+0& .ldahieh& /uwait. Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the (ro!het 0uhammad 1(eace and Blessings of .llah be u!on him2 as revealed to him by the .lmighty .llah. Hadith Qudsi 1or %acred Hadith2 are so named because& unlike the ma3ority of Hadith which are (ro!hetic Hadith& their authority 1%anad2 is traced back not to the (ro!het but to the .lmighty. .mong the many definitions given by the early scholars to %acred Hadith is that of as4 %ayyid ash4%harif al45ur3ani 1died in ,-6 ..H.2 in his le*icon .t4Tarifat where he says" ". %acred Hadith is& as to the meaning& from .llah the .lmighty7 as to the wording& it is from the messenger of .llah 1!eace be u!on him2. $t is that which .llah the .lmighty has communicated to His (ro!het through revelation or in dream& and he& !eace be u!on him& has communicated it in his own words. Thus Qur8an is su!erior to it because& besides being revealed& it is His wording."
