Policies and Procedures: 1. Academic ASL/English: We will learn and apply academic ASL/English, which is a specialized type of discourse for academic assignments. Use only academic ASL/ English in classroom and during video assignments throughout the semester. Professional academic discourse requires giving credit to original authors for their ideas, so citations in either languages are required. Using written ASL terms in your typed/written work or English-based signing in your video work is not acceptable. 2. Career Center: Since this course includes job application documents, you are strongly encouraged to submit your cover letter and curriculum vitae for feedback with the Career Center. You are also required to participate in a mock interview. 3. Editing ASL/English works: You are required to edit your ASL/English assignments. Feel free to meet with your instructor or visit Tutorial & Instructional Programs to get the feedback as often as needed to produce the very best work possible. Full letter grade (or more) will be deducted for unedited papers or videos, regardless if submitted on time.

Attendance/Participation: Attendance includes seminar gatherings and teaching your classes. One absence equals a deduction of 3.3% from your final grade. Repeated tardiness and/or early departures may equal one absence. 5. Assignments: Assignments are due on the due dates listed below. Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
