Task 5: Design and Doc"ment an Addressing Scheme

Step 1. Design an addressing scheme. 2sing the topology and the !ollo, ing re;uirements, design an addressing scheme( Addressing is provided !or all 'A$ lin*s. /or the 01A$s attached to =8A$C-, use the address space "62.")8.".0427. Starting ,ith the largest host re;uirement, assign su nets in the !ollo, ing order !or all 01A$s. o 01A$ "# needs space !or "00 hosts ???????????????????? o 01A$ 2# needs space !or #0 hosts ???????????????????? o 01A$ " needs space !or 20 hosts ???????????????????? o 01A$ 66 needs space !or 20 hosts ???????????????????? Step 2. Doc"ment the addressing scheme. Complete the addressing ta le using the !ollo, ing guidelines. 9ou ,ill add the remaining devices in the ne&t tas*. o Assign the !irst address in each 01A$ to the corresponding =8A$C- su inter!ace. The su inter!ace num ers match the 01A$ num ers. o Assign the second address in 01A$ 66 to S". o Assign the second address in 01A$ "# to the Customer PC. o Assign the second address in 01A$ 2# to the 8egister PC. o Assign the last address in 01A$ 2# to the laser printer. =e sure you record the appropriate su net mas* and de!ault gate,ay !or each address.

Task 6: Add and Connect the Devices in the Address Space

Step 1. Add S17 C"stomer PC7 (egister PC7 and the laser printer in the 1-2.168.1.*+26 address space. S" is a 26)0 s,itch. Add it to the topology and change the Display 'ame to S". +isplay names are case>sensitive. +o not change the hostname yet. The PCs and printer are listed under %nd +evices. Add t,o PCs and a printer. Change the display names o! the PCs and printer according to the topology.

Step 2. Connect S1 to /(A'C0. Choose the correct ca le and connect S" to =8A$C- according to the inter!aces sho,n in the topology. Step 5. Connect C"stomer PC7 (egister PC7 and the laser printer to S1. Choose the correct ca le and connect the PCs and printer to S" according to the inter!aces sho,n in the topology. Step 6. Check res"lts. 9our completion percentage should e 22:. I! not, clic* Check (es"lts to see ,hich re;uired components are not yet completed. I! you changed the hostname o! S" in Step ", then your percentage ,ill e higher.
