Decide what to say Be precise Try to avoid ums and ers Speak sufficiently loudly, clearly and not too fast

Break your message in short chunks

Before the talk, plan what to say:

Plan an introduction Try to give the talk a structure

Plan how you will involve the audience

Write down a few notes Consider how you can motivate the people

Stay calm Have a relaxed but upright posture

If you get stuck, calmly check over the notes

Do not bluff if you do not have an answer to a question Encourage people to ask questions Ensure everyone can hear you
