Twist and bend resistance are the hallmark of these reinforced aluminum profiles, with a wall thickness of 1.8-2.1mm. Designed to house solid acrylic vials for superior accuracy, and finely milled on one or two surfaces, most models incorporate Kapro's patented Plumb Site Dual-View vial and optional rare-earth magnets. Many models include epoxy-locked vials, Ergo Grip non-slip handles, shock absorbing end caps. Digital models offer a user-friendly interface and high precision. Gradient models include the patented Topgrade with multiple vials, each permanently calibrated to a different slope. Kapro's professional box levels are accurate to 0.0005"/" (0.5 mm/m) or 0.029 at level and in all plumb working positions.

Kapro's shockproof vials are individually machined from blocks of solid, high-grade optical acrylic, with reading lines marked inside the vial to minimize parallax error. The lines in our vials are the most parallel in theindustry critical to accurate leveling. Bubble size remains within a tight tolerance in any working temperature: that means the bubbles in our vials are always the right size for clear reading and maximized accuracy. Guaranteed for life, Kapro's solid acrylic vials won't fog, leak or break. And each vial is electronically calibrated within the level frame, so that every Kapro level does exactly what it says.

Kapro's mason's levels feature a heavy-duty cast trapezoid or rectangular aluminum body. They incorporate solid acrylic vials and milled surfaces for superior accuracy (0.5mm/m), with optional rare-earth magnets. Kapro's tough aluminum I-beam extrusions have a wall thickness of 1.8 mm - 2.0 mm. These levels allow for milled surfaces, and include the Plumb Site Dual-View vial, a Top-Reading feature on the horizontal vial, and vial protecting covers. An angle finder and magnetic base are optional.

The only true plumb view
In 1997, Kapro introduced the most revolutionary change in the history of levels since their invention in 1661: the Plumb Site DualView vial.

LEVELS

Before Plumb Site, anyone who needed to level a vertical surface would have to work in an uncomfortable position. Contractors leveling tiles, or installing drywall, had to stand squashed up against a wall to see the vial, and they couldn't see it fully, either. That meant neck and eye strain and inaccurate leveling, too. Kapro's Plumb Site Dual-View vial changed this. Now, there is a front view of the plumb vial. The tradesperson can stand opposite the surface to check if it's level, through a one-to-one reflection of the vial. That means they've got a complete field of vision for a true plumb reading (no parallax error) and they won't go home with aches and pains. That's not just a saving in time and money it means superior accuracy, and the job made easier.

Level manufacturers are on a constant quest for the most easy-to-read vial the quest for optimal vision. The goal: to define the edges of the bubble through color contrast making it easier to see.

OPTI-VISION is a Kapro invention that creates the effect of strong color definition around the bubble,
in stark contrast to the white vial background and clear liquid. The vial's angled design tilts it up towards the viewer for a direct line of vision, so that the vial reading is even more precise.
