Computers and Group Study Rooms Usage

Short Summery: Statistics of Year 2013 shows that library computers & group study rooms usage is about 1,11,185 users in a year. Further it is revealed that monthly average usage is about 9265 users. On the bases of above given healthy usage, we can say that a good number of faculty, staff and students are visiting library and using its resources. The following trend graph showing that in January, the usage is not healthy. But in next months, it increases and remains constant from February to May. It is lowered in June, July and August. The usage increased in September and that trend last till December 2013.

There are about 75 computer terminals and two group study rooms at 1st floor for library users. The following trend graphs of group study rooms and computers are showing same nature of decrease and increase. Both are increasing from January to May and from September to December. Where as there is lower usage period that is from June to August. The reason of this lower usage is, CIIT observed summer holidays in these months. However, usage in summer holidays is encouraging.

At 2nd floor, there are about 42 computer terminals and one group study room for library users. Same trend is showing in the following graphs. Increase from January to May and from September to December. There is decrease in usage from June to August. The reason is summer holidays as well.

Computers & group study rooms usage of 1st & 2nd floors shows that about 1,11,185 users use mentioned library resources in year 2013. It is revealed that an average usage of a month is about 9265 users. It is very healthy usage of both types of resources. Trend graph showing that usage is lower in January, the reason is that students observe spring holidays after final exams in December. There is constant usage with little bit up & down from February to May. It is low in June, July and August due to summer holidays. The usage is showing increased behavior from September to December.
