Montana 2003 Cleanup Standards for Hydrocarbon Contaminated Groundwater

TIER 1 - GROUNDWATER RSBLs AND STANDARDS TABLE

This table applies to groundwater and consists of WQB-7 Human Health Standards (HHSs), where
available. For compounds without WQB-7 HHSs, DEQ has developed RBSLs and included them in the
table. Surface water impacts require a minimum of Tier 2 evaluation.

TIER1 - SURFACE SOIL (0-2ft) RBSLs (mg/kg)

(includes default RBSLs)

This table applies to contaminant surface soil from 0-2 feet below ground surface. Default RBSLs used to
determine if a release ahs occurred at a site are provided in bold and shaded. Default RBSLs apply to the
entire soils column and always apply in the absence of adequate information. Distance to water is from
the sample depth to the water table.
