Thinking Skills Strategies

Skills
1. Relating
2. Generating ideas
3. Comparing and
contrasting

Teacher ask :
What happen to the book when push it?
Pupil answer :
The book move and slow down.
Teacher ask:
Why the books stop moving?
Pupil answer:
Because no friction.
2. Teacher explains what is the friction?
3. Teacher divide the pupils into a group.
Teacher put the lid of jar on the table.
Teacher call 2 of the pupils comes in
front.
Teacher asks the pupil to touch and
feel it.
Teacher ask :
What do you feel when you open the lid of a
jar with dry hands?
Pupil answer :
I can easily open.
Teacher ask :
What do you feel when you open the lid of a
jar with oily hands?
Pupil :
I cannot open it properly because my hand is
oily.
Teacher ask:
What is the conclusion of this experiment?
Pupils answer :
The easier way to open the lid of jar with dry
hand because of greater friction.
4- Teacher carry out activities that involving
friction.
- Teacher called 3 students to come in
front and carry out these activities :
a) rubbing their palms
