Be s#re to go over and over each area lots o times, as there will need to be eno#gh applied to take a hard b# ing! Rinse in de6min water or wipe clean! (ollow with a going over with some o the compo#nd polish, as it may have a airly d#ll messy appearance when plated b#t comes #p shiny with -#st a 5#ick going over with the compo#nd polish (r#bbing airly hard, b#t make s#re that compo#nd polish is 7wet8 0 it gets to cl#mpy or dry, yo# can add gold polish ( inishing polish) to make it more r#nny! 0 yo# overplate, or &b#rn' on the chrome ( dark patches ) a good hard polish or a 5#ick &p#nch in & against a b# ing machine will t#rn any dark bits into shiny chrome inish

+o# will ind that going over black lines (created by the edge o the swabbing/probe) will act#ally erase them6b#t where ever yo# stop, yo# create a new black line! The best techni5#e is to move the swabbing in a way that inishes #p leaving the smallest black line possible, rinse thoro#ghly in de6min and #se the 9:4,:U;* ,:10SH with dry tiss#e, to erase the last o the black line! :r, i yo# have one, 7p#nch8 the area 5#ickly against a b# ing machine so t mop with ro#ge wa<! Then inally inish to an all ro#nd l#stre all over with gold polish! BLA1K KRO+E < Adjust to % volts Slow to plate! : all the plates we s#pply, Black =rome is the most sensitive to grease or o<ides! 0t will totally re #se to plate in the presence o any (no matter how trace) grease! or o<ides! 3ven to the point where i yo# have to#ched yo#r crocodile clip, then where the crocodile clip to#ches the part, it will trans er eno#gh trace grease to block plating! Thoro#ghly clean and degrease scratched area, making s#re that the scratch itsel has no grease or dirt at its deepest point, activate i necessary depending on metal, then apply the acid copper with plenty o swabbing on the probe, and &pat' the acid copper onto the scratch rather than a &br#sh' motion! 0t is vital that yo# #se the goggles s#pplied in yo#r kit or this -ob! 0t may take a while and some practice to per ect, b#t the copper sho#ld go in looking like tarnished brown copper, the scratch gets illed as does the s#rro#nding area, and yo# #se a b# ing machine to polish back all the copper #ntil yo# have worn it all o and the scratch is illed b#t polished! 0t will look like a brownish hairline! +o# then gold plate as normal and the colo#r di erence between the copper and the original metal s#r ace disappears as the whole s#r ace is plated and the scratch is no longer visable! This *:3S take some practice tho#ghB To use for creating a show chrome look, then first copper strike the polished item, then go straight on with the acid copper (preferably tank plating) and let it

plate for about 30 minutes or so for a really thick plate that will come out dull, but be able to be buffed back to a brilliant shine. Repeat if necessary until you are happy with shine levels, then rinse and go straight on with nickel. Nickel activator 7.5 volts. ass over item !uickly and go over each bit only once if possible.
