Andriana Laskari Personal Summary

I am an enthusiastic, sociable person with a great desire to work on anything creative and technical involving the field of animation and the media. I have a particular interest in character design, animating, storytelling and the process of discovering the art direction for my work but I can be open to any type of projects. Nevertheless, I am keen to get involved with any stage of a project, from the very early brainstorming and script writing to the most complicated rigging and texturing. I can be autonomous in my work, but also enjoy being part of a team. I have had the opportunity to improve my Business and Management skills and I am currently undertaking a TEFL course.

Experience
Business and Marketing Coordinator (October-December 2013) I was fortunate to be part of the Revive brand which focused on the digital rejuvenation of Crystal Palace Park working in collaboration with Carve Productions and Open Cinema. As a Business and Marketing team member, my role was to overlook the whole project, art direct it and get local communities involved for the promotion of the park. I apply my creative skills wherever needed. CGAA online course mentor (September- October 2013) As an Online Mentor to two first year students in the CG Arts and Animation course, my job was to give them advice and guidance on their creative and technical process. The mentoring was done through their blogs and with the use of social media for closer interaction. Collaborative University Project (July 2012 to July 2013) My last year of studies consisted of working on an animated short as Mango Mercury, with a fellow student. This project gave me a great insight into what is like to work in a partnership and to work jointly on problem solving. We were selected to showcase this project by representing UCA at the New Designers exhibition. Student Ambassador for UCA (Nov 2011 to July 2013) Working as a student Ambassador for UCA has helped me to build up my confidence around people and promote the University. My duties have involved guiding tours around the campus at events such as open days or school promotions. Picasso Pictures (Oct to Nov 2012) My 2 weeks in Picasso Pictures was a great insight to my potential future as a CG Artist, gained whilst working in their studios in London. I was inspired by witnessing the creative process unfold in front of me and enjoyed networking with seasoned animators. Print Shop Sunshine (July to Aug 2012) My vacation work at a small Graphic Design and printing company in Corfu involved working on the branding and promotional stings for its new branch office. I introduced them to 3D software, which the company were unfamiliar with. CGAA course promotion (July 2012) While still an undergraduate myself, I was chosen to help promote graduates work and the course itself at New Designers. Butch Auntie (April to May 2012) My 5 weeks work experience for Butch Auntie, who specialise in 3D or 2D projections used in events, involved working on themed projects to meet client needs.
