Directed a 23-member airport security department, Airport Badging Office and 24/7 Airport Operations Center / Emergency Operations Center (AOC / EOC). Served as Airport Security Coordinator with a Transportation Security Administration ( TSA) SECRET clearance; also, managed the development and practice of the airport's emergency operations. Conducted the annual Security Table Top Exercise. Established positive relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement groups. Prepared and administered a $3.2 M annual budget; managed goal matrix completion for the security department; monitored staff performance and ensured training to maximize their proficiencies. Developed safety and security strategies, including business continuity plans that ensured a safe and secure environment for the traveling public and airport employees and complied with all applicable 14 CFR, Part 139, Federal Air Regulations (FARs) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandated security regulations. Utilized U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) specifications for the upgrading of an existing airport building to accept processing by CBP for arriving international general aviation aircraft, U.S. Military charters, and cargo flight deck crews. Investigated alleged regulatory security violations issued against the airport by the TSA.
