WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO

HAVE NEVER HEARD OF JESUS?

One of the great questions is would a caring God dispatch anyone to eternal
Hell if he have never heard about and accepted the one true God?
And what about the “heathen” – kind of a slam word - who truly seek the true
God who sent the Lord Jesus Christ to pay our sin debt?
Try this on for size
According to Romans, 1:18-2, every human being has the witness of creation
(external) and the witness of conscience (internal).
Creation and the amazing planned cycles of life that roll by smoothly century
after century point to the existence of a very God. Our conscience convicts us of sin.
If we continue sinning, we suppress truth, says 11 Thessalonians 2:10-12. If
we suppress sin and seek more truth, we will get it. "Ye shall seek me and find me
when ye search for me with all your heart"

Salvation comes just one way: through believing the gospel of Jesus Christ. All
other ways lead to eternal damnation as in Hell’s bells. The details of how each
seeker hears and believes the gospel varies with individuals.
In scripture, Paul was sent to enlighten the seeker, Cornelius. Philip was sent to
the seeking Ethiopian eunuch. The Holy Spirit always rushes into the vacuum created
by a seeker of truth.

It is a given that God really doesn’t need us to deliver the truth of eternal
salvation through what the Lord Jesus Christ did when He paid our total sins with
His blood when He died and rose again from the dead.
Of course He does use those who have the guts to roll up their sleeves and dive
into the fray.
Where there is no physical messenger handy to share hands-on the saving
message, it appears that God uses His own ways to reach the lost.
A recent Christian Aid Praise Report tells this: "Some (Afghans) report having
dreams in which Christ appeared to them and revealed Himself as the Truth."

The gospel of the Bible packs power.

Romans 1:16 - "..gospel of Christ..is the power of God unto salvation to
everyone that believeth.."
John 3:18 - "He that believes on him is not condemned, but he that believeth
not is condemned already."
John 1:4,5 - "..the light (of Christ) shineth in darkness.."
Matthew 5:14 - "Ye are the light of the world..."
John 3:19 - "This is the condemnation that light is come into the world and
men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil...but he that doeth
truth cometh to the light.."

How does this apply where the rubber meets the road?

1. An Iranian Christian friend, raised a strict Muslim and saved in 2001, tells me: “I
have had visions and seen the very throne room of God. It was perhaps like John
who traveled to Heaven and detailed, as best he could, what he saw in the Book of
Revelation. I tested God and have seen many miraculous things occur. I have had
clear answers to prayers. I have been exposed to God in ways most Christians
haven’t.

2. Some get saved through watching Christian DVDs or Hollywood movies. Movies
like The Passion certainly contain Jesus-drawing clout. I know a guy who was saved
many years ago while watching the moving Ben-Hur. Ben-Hur is a 1959 epic flick
subtitled: A Tale of the Christ.
3. Some hear of Christ in Internet chat rooms, Christian websites or through you
tube videos.
4. Others by reading.

5. Television in many areas of the globe carries gospel programming.

6. Christian missionaries are planted in many places, worldwide.

A friend once told me he refused to believe in Jesus “because what about all
those Africans who have never heard of Jesus?” I told him that it’s God’s job to reach
them with the Jesus truth.
I shared that we in North America have churches on every corner, Gideon
Bibles in every hotel room, some good TV church broadcasts, so ALL are without
excuse. He just said “Oh”.
Is he lost? Sadly, he must be. He’s as lost as a Christ-rejecting, beard-stroking
New Delhi guru.
What about you?
