and the breadth thereof ten cubits And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth (Zechariah 5:2, 6).

breadth thereof ten cubits (verse 2). Not only does Zechariah identify this as a flying scroll or letter, but without measuring it, sees the dimensions, 20 x 10 cubits. The number twenty, according to Ed Vallowes book, Biblical Mathematics, stands for redemption. He writes: The males of the children of Israel had to offer a ransom for their souls at the age of twenty. In connection with this ransom, twenty gerahs are mentioned (See Exodus 30:1214). The money that was given for their ransom was silver money. Silver is a symbol of redemption. What is the significance of ten? Here again, Dr. Vallowe writes: As the basis of the decimal system, ten has been a significant number in all historical ages. This is a number of testimonyGod gave the Ten Commandments to man for him to bear testimony before God and man. First he sees a flying scroll, which he identifies, but then he sees something that he does not recognize, so the angel has to give the answer: This is an ephah that goeth forth. Obviously, theses visions were connected to the previous one where Zechariah had to be awakened, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. Now he introduces this vision with these words: Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll (Zechariah 5:1). He turned from what he had previously seen, the two olive trees, the two anointed ones that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. He turns around and sees a flying roll. Zechariah identifies it plainly without asking the angel what it is. Now the angel wants the confirmation and asks the question: And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the

Biblethen we may say that this flying scroll demonstrates the testimony of redemption. However, the angel gives quite a different meaning to this flying scroll: Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof (verses 3-4). There is no redemption, no salvation, no grace, but utter destruction. How are we to understand this seeming contradiction? It is the testimony of redemption that was rejected and became judgment unto destruction. The intended blessing is now turned into a curse. We read, for example, how the intended curse of Balaam against Israel turned into a blessing: Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee (Deuteronomy 23:5). The law of God, the testimony of redemption, is a two-edged swordit is a blessing and a curse. This is detailed in Deuteronomy chapter 29. Another example is found in the New Testament. This occurs during the time when the sixth seal is opened. We read in Revelation 6:15-16: And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. The Lamb of God stands for salvation. He takes away the sins of the world, but in this case, its the other side of the story. Those who could have been saved by the blood of the Lamb are experiencing the most horrible thing anyone can possibly experience: the realization that the Lamb of God they had rejected could have saved them. Now the Lamb of God rejects them. The two-sided message of the scroll is a testimony against those who steal and those who lie and swear falsely in His name. Stealing is much more than taking something that does not belong to you, but stealing is wanting something that does not belong to me. Just think for a moment what our modern financial and economic system is built upon. A book published during the Reagan era hit the nail on the head with the title, Greed Is Good. Our modern society is built on the precepts of covetousness: wanting that which does not belong to me. We can trace this evil desire back to our first mother, Eve. She desired that which was not hers: And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:6). We must also note that this is not just directed against Israel, but as it says, the whole earth (Zechariah 5:3). When we begin to realize the seriousness of this message, I think we will be extremely cautious in using the name of God within the domain of Lucifers

It was Israel who sweared falsely, who used the name of God in vain, but because this is also addressed to the whole earth, I venture to say this includes, In God We Trust, One Nation Under God, etc. This two-fold message exposes the content of the life of modern man. What is the fuel and the driving force in modern society? We can summarize it with just one phrase: the love of money. It is the hoarding of more possessions, no matter whether I have earned them or not; its simply stealing. Moreover, it is done under religious pretenses, sweareth falsely by my name. James speaks to the Church when he writes in James 5:3: Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Now we come to the seventh vision. This time, the angel invites Zechariah to see: Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth (verse 5). Zechariah does not know what it is. He could not identify it as he did with the flying scroll. We read in verse 6: And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. What is this ephah? Based on Ungers Bible Dictionary, an ephah is a measure of Egyptian origin and is in very common use among the Hebrews. It contains 10 omers. It can also mean in Hebrew gloom or darkness. We do know it is a container for measuring dry goods. Measuring anything is of course related to judgment. We have an example in the book of Daniel where Belshazzar, the King of the Chaldeans, saw the handwriting on the wall, Thou are weighed in the balances, and art found wanting (Daniel 5:27).We emphasize again that this is directed toward the Jewish people in the first place, but it also includes all the earth. This ephah contains a woman, as is described in the next two verses: And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof (verses 7-8). This is the epitome of evil and wickedness. I take the liberty to identify this woman with Revelation 17:5: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. The manifestation of wickedness is contained in the ephah and sealed with a talent of lead. We know that lead is a very heavy substance. In olden times, lead was used for a plumbline because the weight of it would not easily sway in the wind; therefore, it gave precise judgment of location. The lead, therefore, signifies total judgment. But then something strange happened: Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven (verse 9). The two unidentified women must be of demonic origin, because they had wings like the wings of a storka stork is an unclean animal. These two flying women carried away the ephah with the woman inside, sealed with a lead lid.

Next comes a quite natural question: Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? (verse 10). The answer is given in the next verse: And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base (verse 11). The land of Shinar is the land of Babylon, the embodiment of ultimate evil. The very name Babylon means gate of God. Here we see the imitation of the great deceiver: it is no longer the one Way, the person, who said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6), but a substitute: Babylongate of God. Babylon represents the entire world, particularly the religious world. Although the kingdom of Babylon is considered to be the best of the four Gentile superpowers, it is also identical within the last kingdom, the worst. Daniel identifies the king of Babylon as the head of gold, and Nebuchadnezzar himself is called a king of kings (Daniel 2:37). This reminds us of the real King of kings in Revelation 19:16: And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. The kingdom that was considered best and closest to God becomes the epitome and manifestation of the ultimate evil. But we must reiterate that this does not mean physical, literal Babylon; it means the whole world. We remember this from verse 3, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth and verse 6, This is their resemblance through all the earth. In summary, this two-fold vision with its two-fold message simply declares to Israel and the rest of the world: there is no future for planet Earth. Judgment unto destruction is determined by God and clearly proclaimed by His prophets: For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place (Micah 1:3-4). There is only one escape: through Jesus, who still invites everyone with the words, Whosoever will may come, and guarantees, Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. MC

How much more should we Christians be joyful, singing people? Awaiting us is a different kind of marital bliss. What is the reality however? Are we not all too like the people around us who lament all the time? Yet we should be joyful because the time of our salvation is nearer than it was.
e are all on a journey. Every day we draw nearer to the goal. Whether we are conscious of it or not, today we are a day closer to the Rapture than yesterday. Paul also spoke of this truth in Romans 13:11-12, And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. With every passing day this glorious event comes nearer. We may comfort ourselves with this (1 Thessalonians 4:18). Although we have surely all heard and read that for those who believe on Jesus Christ in truth, the best and most glorious awaits us, yet this assurance often hardly affects us in our daily lives. We read in Ephesians 1:15-18, that the believers in Ephesus were blessed with all spiritual blessings, really believed in Jesus and also lived in true love for one another, yet they did not have the true picture where the heavenly glory is concerned. Paul prayed for this, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints (verses 17-18). They had everything, and yet
Paul had to pray that their eyes would be enlightened to see it. Is this not our problem also? We are captivated by what is visible and the many things that occupy us, and we do not have our eyes enlightened for this glorious future. How different our lives would be if we would have the Rapture in our sights! This would even help us to overcome suffering. Paul says in Romans 8:18, For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. A German pastor named Johannes Busch once told how he was walking down a street in a town on a cold, dismal day. Suddenly he heard someone singing a joyful song. He stood still and listened. The song came from a very poor-looking house. Who could the happy person be? On an impulse he went into the house and found to his surprise a young girl scrubbing the floor. He asked what was the reason for her song. The girl sat up and said to him with radiant eyes, In a week I will be getting married! With such joy in a persons heart, they may well sing! How much more should we Christians be joyful, singing people? Awaiting us is a different kind of marital bliss. What is the reality however? We should all be concerned with the preparations for the meeting with the Bridegroom. What is it like when a wedding takes

THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE RAPTURE
Remember that we as believers in Jesus, as His bride, have received an invitation to a wedding from Jesus Himself. He spoke very clearly of our glorious future. And yet it seems as though many believers have forgotten it completely.
promise of living with Him in all eternity, then we should make progress in purification and sanctification at all costs. The consequence for a bride is that she cannot enter into any further love relationships. She is now destined for the bridegroom alone. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 7:1, Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. This verse speaks in its context clearly of the separation from the world, unrighteousness and darkness. We should concern ourselves with what relates to the Bridegroom. We should only have eyes for our Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. We should not court friendship with the world, Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4). Verse 5 continues in the NIV, Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? Cleanse yourself in preparation for the meeting with the Bridegroom! This was Pauls endeavor, For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2). This cleansing is necessary in order to be able to live with Him alone. Think what a glorious future He has planned for
place in a family? Mother, father, sisters and brothers, relatives, and all who have been invited are concerned with this event, the bridal couple maybe for years even. It fills their thoughts when they work. Perhaps they buy a new dress or suit. They live in this anticipation every day. And the nearer the day draws, the greater their joy is. The bridal couple are completely occupied with their thoughts and deeds in order to please one another. Remember that we as believers in Jesus, as His bride, have received an invitation to a wedding from Jesus Himself. He spoke very clearly of our glorious future. And yet it seems as though many believers have forgotten it completely. For them it is important to be blessed here and now, to earn more money and to gain the world in order to lead a better life. Where is Jesus? Do not such Christians actually lack enlightened eyes? Where is their longing for the Bridegroom, their complete occupation with the preparations for this glorious day, their life as a purified vessel in sanctification? If we have the

This cleansing is necessary in order to be able to live with Him alone. Think what a glorious future He has planned for you. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (1 Peter 1:15).
you. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (1 Peter 1:15). It is necessary to live in holiness so we can live with Him in glory for all eternity. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). When Ruth prepared to meet Boaz, Naomi said to her, Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor (Ruth 3:3). To wash has to do with cleansing. The bride must be suitable for the Bridegroom. This is the untiring work of God in us, for it says in Romans 8:29, For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. This is why we are sometimes tossed and turned. It is the purification we need so that we become more like Jesus. Cleansing and sanctification are what precedes the Rapture, To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints (1 Thessalonians 3:13). And, Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless (2 Peter 3:14).

The Christian thought for a moment and then said, Before, I was a sinner who pursued sin. Now I am a sinner who is running away from sin. In 1 Thessalonians 4, which speaks of the Rapture (in verses 13-18), we read twice, in verses 1 and 10, more and more. These words refer to our increasing in our faith lives. Paul pursued this goal and said in Philippians 3:12, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. His wish was to gain Christ and be found in Him (verses 8-9). Naomi gave Ruth the advice to bathe, to anoint herself with perfume and to put on her best clothes for the

ture in this way. It may be that we soil our garments, that we walk around in our old clothes again, which draws attention to us and not to Jesus. Then suddenly sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language are to be found in our lives (Colossians 3:5-8). Gods Word tells us to Put off the old man with his deeds; and put on the new man (verses 9-10), so ye would abound more and more (1 Thessalonians 4:1). It should be our aim to become like Jesus. Is it not so with married couples that live together in harmony, that they become more and more united in their thoughts and desires? It may be that the husband says something and his wife says she was just thinking the same thing. Jesus wants to see this more and more in us, that we think like Him, desire like Him and strive after that which pleases Him. The church has the same duty as the wife toward her husband, For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and he is the saviour of the body (Ephesians 5:23). The wife should submit herself to her husband. In the same way, the Church should submit to Jesus and increase more and more in this. Yet we often live for ourselves instead of asking

We may become impatient and through this go astray. In Matthew 24:48-49, such a situation is described, But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken. The same thing is said in James 5:7-9, Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the
husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. scoffers who say, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation (2 Peter 3:4). The Lord will not neglect to keep His promise: He will come. But it is because He has so much patience that He has not yet returned, because He does not want anyone to be lost (verse 9). It happened that after the Second World War, some women remarried because they had not received any news of their husbands and thought they would not return. But some husbands did return one day and found their wives married to another. Imagine what it would mean if Jesus were to find us like this because we no longer reckoned with His coming. Dear reader, be patient and strengthen your heart in the assurance that He will return and bring glory with Him. We see nothing of this glory, and yet it is very near for the believer. Even if He keeps us waiting, we know with certainty that He will come, because He promised to. Of Moses it says in Hebrews 11:27, He endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Peter said in 1 Peter 1:8, Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. In faith we comfort ourselves with the promise of His return and rejoice, although we perhaps have to go through a valley of weeping here. We see nothing of this glory, and it is as de14

scribed in Hebrews 11: we are in the midst of a great battle of suffering, have tribulation, go through trouble and humiliation, and feel ourselves to be strangers here on earth. All this can lead to our wanting to cast aside our confidence, because the visible things almost crush us. This is why the Lord encourages His own, Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward (Hebrews 10:35). My dear reader, do not draw back but persevere in faith. The Rapture will bring us redemption from all the present unpleasant things. The just shall live by faith (verse 38), even if we see and experience nothing of this glory. We should watch and walk in the light. Then His light will not terrify us when He comes but cause us great joy.

The enemy is attempting in all sorts of ways to keep us busy and to involve us in many things, so that the love for the Lord is not kept alive in our hearts. Where there is no love, is chaos. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work (James 3:16). We are only prepared to be raptured if we stand in this love of God. We know that the most glorious things await us, and yet there is often the question in our hearts, But what about my mistakes and failures? Where true love is, fear is banished, Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us (1 John 4:1719).

Peter also mentioned this thought in 1 Peter 4:7-8, But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Above all things we should walk in love, so that we do not live in strife when the Rapture takes place. The epistle of Jude also makes this clear. Of false teachers, Jude testifies that they cause divisions and quarrels, and then he says, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
The Rapture is not a thing that we hope will not take place yet, but an event that we await longingly. The Rapture will bring us together with Jesus forever. We will be with Him for eternity!
This is why it is so important that our love is perfect and not hindered by anything. If our love is hindered, our expectation of Jesus is not joyful but fearful. A bride gives her Bridegroom all her love. Although she is concerned with many other things, her perfect love only belongs to him. This is how it should be for us: we should not love anything more than Him alone! All the work and problems that are connected with the preparations for the wedding cannot touch the joy of the bride and groom. Before the wedding takes place, they have to confront many sorts of people. There are some among them who make the lives of the bridal couple more difficult. And yet the two will not give up until the moment of their marriage comes. Only one thing can hinder this celebration, and there really have been cases where one of the two has called off the wedding. What was the reason? Were the preparations too difficult? No. There is only one reason for a planned marriage not taking place, and that is the lack of love of one of the partners. One of them never really loved the other. The love of Jesus Christ will never be lacking. Therefore the question for us is, how is our love for Jesus? If we love Him with all our hearts, we will prepare ourselves and look forward to this meeting. Where our love is no longer His alone, however, it becomes difficult and problematic. What would you think of a bride who had put on her wedding dress and opened all the presents and said, I dont care if the bridegroom comes or not. Ive got all the

presents, and I can have the company of my friends. Thats enough for me!? Either she never loved him or she has given her love to another. My dear reader, the Holy Spirit is striving after your whole heart belonging to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is your Bridegroom. Love Him, then, with all your heart! The Rapture is not a thing that we hope will not take place yet, but an event that we await longingly. The Rapture will bring us together with Jesus forever. We will be with Him for eternity! Song of Solomon 7:10 says, I am my beloveds, and his desire is toward me. How is it with you? Is He only allowed to live in one room in your heart, or the One who is standing at the door? Open your whole heart to Jesus Christ, your Bridegroom. Give Him all your love, and wonderful fellowship with Him will become reality. Invite Him in now, as it is described in Luke 24:29, But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. Jesus had fellowship with those who invited Him in. And not only that, they said in verse 32, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way? This is how we should go toward the Rapture: in unclouded fellowship with Him and with a burning heart. Without doubt, the wedding is the climax of the lives of two people. And without doubt, the Rapture will be more glorious than everything we can imagine, The hope of the righteous shall be gladness MR1009/362 (Proverbs 10:28).
It has been a token piece of conventional wisdom that Jesus was entirely rejected by the Jewish people. This fact has been taken at face value and repeated for so long that it bears investigation, namely for the following reason: if Jesus had been so completely ignored by His people, why does His name cause such consternation and emotion among the Jews? Why has He been so long remembered? In truth because He was not so completely rejected after all.

rom the time of Jesus miraculous resurrection, the Jesus Movement exploded. Had Jesus not resurrected, the Movement would have died a quick death, as had all previous movements led by pretenders to the throne. Christians (Jewish believers in Yshua) in the wake of the resurrection and after Pentecost were numerous. Acts 4:4 describes as many as 5,000 men
coming to Jesus in one meeting. As the miracles that followed the Apostles increased, so did the numbers of believers. In Acts 5:14, multitudes both of men and women became followers of Jesus. They sat in synagogues shoulder to shoulder with Jews who did not accept Yshua, in the same way that a church building might have saved and unsaved people sitting together in the same pews. The Rabbis had a universal problem on their hands; hundreds of thousands of Jews were believing in Jesus. Messianic Jews were attending every synagogue of the east (Philip Moore, The Messiah Conspiracy). The many Jews who were Jesus believers represented a huge threat to the status quo. Almost 40 years later, as their numbers continued to grow, the destruction of Jerusalem occurred. The Rabbi Johanan saw this as an opportunity to marginalize and ultimately eliminate these upstarts. After a startling escape from the besieged city, Johanan settled in the seaport of Yavne (Jabneh or Jamnia), where he grafted together a new form of Judaism. It was in this new rabbinical form of Judaism

that the anathemas or curses of believers in Yshua were written, forever dividing the Jews into two camps: those for Yshua and those against Him. A False Resurrection During the final siege of Jerusalem, Rabbi Johanan escaped certain death by being spirited out of the city. Disguising himself as a corpse, the Rabbis followers carried him out in a coffin, ostensibly for burial, risking death if discovered by the Zealots still in Jerusalem who swore to die rather than surrender. Additionally, the dead Rabbi and his pallbearers faced certain death at the hands of the encircling Roman army, yet managed to get beyond the siege line, at which time the corpse got up and made his way to Vespasian, the Roman general leading the siege. Boldly Johanan ben Sakkai prophesied that Vespasian would soon be emperor, and in such an eventuality, would Emperor Vespasian grant him.... and a few of his disciples, permission to establish a small school of Jewish learning Stunned by the prophecy and surprised by the modesty of the request.... he promised the favor would be granted provided the prophecy came true. The prophecy in fact came true: Vespasian shortly became the new Emperor of the Roman Empire.

The astonished Vespasian was informed by the Rabbi that he wanted amnesty and safe passage to a certain place. Seizing an opportunity to pacify the moderate faction of Jews that Johanan led, Vespasian granted the strangely simple request of the old man. Johanan asked for safe passage to Yavne, a small village on the seacoast, and for a guarantee of amnesty as long as he remained there. Freed from the constraints of competing sects and factions, Rabbi Johanan set about to formulate a new Judaism, bereft of Temple and benefit of sacrifice, but one that would keep a form of Judaism alive and would persist to the present. At the same time, Johanan finessed a change in the Shemoneh-Esrei (the eighteen blessings), a recitation required daily of all Jews. Max Dimont in his book, Jews, God and History explains how the deception began. Rabbi Johanan was a shrewd leader obsessed with keeping Judaism intact in a form consistent with his own vision and certainly no

longer vulnerable to the upstart followers of Yshua. A New Form of Judaism After Rabbi Johanan had successfully escaped the siege of Jerusalem and settled with a handful of followers in Yavne, the task at hand was to forestall and eliminate the influx of Christians into Jewish society and the synagogue. But how to tell Christians (Jewish believers in Christ Jesus) from their Jewish fellow citizens? By disguising a curse as a blessing. The Birkhat ha-Minim was a curse written and inserted into the daily spiritual affirmation required of every Jew. The Minim are the Jewish believers in Yshua. The Birkhat is the curse leveled upon them. Philip Moore, head researcher for Hal Lindsay, writes in his comprehensive tome, The Messiah Conspiracy the following: The personal integrity of the rabbis at Yavne and their belief regarding what constituted Judaism was at stake. They had to find a way to stop the spread of Messianic Judaism from reaching world Jewry. They felt that Judaism should be remolded into a cultural cement designed to keep Jewish and Gentile identities separate for all time. They felt that Jesus was a common personality whose message might threaten Jewish racial purity because so many Gentiles were accepting Him along with their Jewish friends. They were becoming interested in Jewish feasts and traditions, because their (the Gentiles) Messiah was Jewish. He continues: In desperation, the rabbis at Yavne came up with a benedic20

tion which could identify any secret Messianic Jew in any orthodox congregation at that time. It was called the Birkhat ha-Minim... as the Talmud reveals: Said Rabban Gamaliel to the Sages: can any one among you frame a benediction relating to the MINIM? Samuel the Lesser arose and composed it. They then wrote letters which were circulated throughout the Diaspora with a copy of this malediction and instructions to add it to the Amidah Prayer, which was recited daily in all synagogues of that time. Through their emissaries they propagated the idea that Messianic Jews were not legitimate members of the community, were not to be acknowledged, and in some cases, were even worthy of death. The first century patristic Father Justin Martyr noted: But these Jews... consider us as if their enemies and adversaries, killing and punishing us... whenever they are able to do so. In the recent Jewish war, Bar Kochba (a false Messiah), the leader of the Jewish Uprising, ordered that only the Christians should be subjected to dreadful torments, unless they renounced and blasphemed Jesus Christ. For there shall arise false Christs... (Matthew 24:24). Jesus prophesied the coming of others who would proclaim their messiahship, and having come in their own names, would be accepted. A House Divided From Yavne the curse upon Yshua followers spread like a cancer. The upshot was that whoever would not proclaim publicly this anathema/curse upon Jewish and Gentile Christians/Minim was

obviously one of those being cursed. Spies were posted in every congregation to observe those attendees that remained silent during the recitation of the newly added curse. Those who did not roundly curse the Minim were routed out. Eventually the situation was untenable for those believers in Yshua Messiah, Jesus Christ, and they simply quit the synagogues. Because Messianic Jews viewed the destruction of the Temple as proof of Jesus prophecy, there again was an upsurge in the movement, with many more Jews beginning to join it. Finally, the Rabbis decided to end contact with the Messianic Jewish community. Messianic Jews were to be expelled from the synagogue. Jesus had told his followers, They shall put you out of the synagogues (John 16:2). It wasnt until later that they were expelled from the community. The Bar-Kochba Revolt occurred between 132 and 135 A.D. It was the second Jewish uprising against Roman rule... Rabbi Akiba declared Bar-Kochba to be the Jewish Messiah. As a result, Jewish believers in Yshua as Messiah pulled out of the revolt. They could not accept the false Messiah BarKochba, and it created the final split between the two Jewish communities (Messiah Conspiracy).
Philip Moore continues, At this time, Bar-Kochba began to persecute Messianic Jews because of their refusal to render him Messianic recognition. Johannes Weiss documents this fact when he tells us: The fate of the Jerusalem church (believers in Yshua Messiah) underwent a decided change... under the Messiah-prophet Bar-Kochba. Jerusalem fell into the hands of the rebels: and even during the Bar-Kochba revolt, the Christians had much to suffer at their hands.... In 70 A.D., the destruction of the Temple of God meant the end of sacrificing to cover their sin. Because God mandated the exact location of His Temple upon Mount Moriah (the site of Isaacs miraculous redemption from death), no substitute would do. Without [the] shedding of blood [there] is no remission [of sin] (Hebrews 9:22). And no other spot on Earth can be used to offer the blood sacrifice, which God required of the Jews.

For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:28). In Gods incredible mercy, He has made a way out for all mankind. The Jewish religious leaders were faced with a choice: accept Christs blood offering for their and their peoples sins, or ignore it and try to cobble together a religious system that would placate God. They tried, and as previously stated, this is impossible.

A day of discovering the biblical historical treasures of the city of Jerusalem. We ascend to Mount Scopus to overview the city of Jerusalem to the west and the Judean wilderness1 to the east leading to the Dead Sea. Then on to a most significant place, the Mount of Olives,2 from which Jesus ascended into heaven and to which He is going to return. We walk down the mountain to the Chapel of Tears,3 then to the Garden of Gethsemane.4 Next we will visit the city of David,5 which includes Hezekiahs Tunnel.6 Our final destination will be the Garden Tomb. Next well visit Yad Vashem, the museum that houses the documentation of the murder of over 6 million Jews by Nazi Germany. We depart our hotel this morning and say Shalom to Jerusalem. Our tour bus will lead us past Gilgal,1 then along the Jordan River to Beth Shean, one of the greatest archaeological exhibitions in Israel. Then on to Decapolis, an area that was the center of Greek and Roman culture. Our tour will lead to the springs of Gideon,2 and later that afternoon, well arrive at the Jordan River.3 Yardenit is the place where the opportunity for baptism is provided. We rise early to depart Jerusalem on our way down to the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea. Well pass the new city of Maale Adummim,1 keep going down the desert mountain, past the Good Samaritan Inn,2 and passing the ancient city of Jericho.3 Well arrive at Qumran, home of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Traveling along the shores of the Dead Sea,4 we pass Engedi5 and will see in a distance the mountain of Masada. A cable car will lead us to the top, to see the magnificent view. Later we will have the opportunity to bathe in the Dead Sea. A light lunch will be served at the hotel on the Dead Sea, appropriately named

Next we will visit the place of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, Tabgha.3 Then on to Kursi,4 where Jesus cast out demons from two men who were possessed. Galilee is considered to be the center of Christs ministry. The day will begin in the direction going north. First, we will head to the sources of the Jordan River in Caesarea, Philippi.1 Next is a visit to the Nimrod Fortress.
Then to a special place, Birkat Ram. There we will see a crater lake formed high in the Golan. Here we will have lunch. Then on to the capital city of the Golan, Katzrin.2 As we travel through the territory of the Golan Heights, we will be witnesses to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, as we see the land being made fertile: This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:35). People today are indeed confused and anxious though they shouldnt be according to Scripture. North Americans have certainly suffered economic hardships as a result of the still-unfolding effects of the Global Financial Crisis. Is it over? Are other global financial crises to be expected in the future? Where will one find security? Is gold the answer, as so many Christian advisers today counsel?
hat will happen next [following the last two years of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC)]? Will there be another financial bubble [leading to further global instabilities]? Can there be a sustainable economic recovery? The correct answers here are related to two other questions that we must first ask. They will confirm the likely prognosis. First, will policymakers choose to continue to try to outrun consequences of past mistakes, or will they face up to them?
The answer is eminently clear by now. Governments and central banks around the world have chosen to try to escape the results of past folly. In so doing, they are now setting up the conditions for a much greater future economic collapse. However, this need not necessarily happen in the very near future. First, a major recovery period may occurat least in some parts of the worldbefore this eventuality again looms. We will come back to assess the various possible short-term scenarios.

The options chosen are monetary manipulation, deception and cronyism. It will lead to even greater impoverishment for America and certain other nations relative to the rest of the world. It is a desperate situation. Some now see it as the last chance for the vindication of humanist monetary theories. Quoting the influential Martin Wolf of the Financial Times,
This is no small matter. Over almost three decades, policymakers and academics became ever more confident that they had found, in inflation targeting, the holy grail of fiat (or man-made) money. It had been a long journey from the gold standard of the 19th century, via the restored gold-exchange standard of the 1920s, the monetary chaos of the 1930s, the Bretton Woods system of adjustable exchange rates of the 1950s and 1960s, the termination of dollar convertibility into gold in 1971, and the monetary targeting of the 1970s and 1980s. [] Most of usI was onethought we had at last found the holy grail. Now we know it was a mirage. This may be the last chance for fiat money. Incredibly, this former world empire has finally come to this shameful point. It is now recklessly pursuing inflationary monetary policies. The US government at the time of this writing has already committed to over $14 trillion in expenditures, bailouts and contingent guarantees in its effort to forestall further financial collapse. This is an unconscionably large amount, alone equating to the size of its annual economic output, or over $40,000 for every man, woman and child. According to estimates, this is 10 times the intervention of any other postwar recession. Such policy responses surely cannot lead to sustainable prosperity. It leads to even higher debt ever-higher burdens for future generations. Without a doubt, policymakersboth in America and around the worldare

smell despair. Here again he is correct. There indeed will come a time where the entire world will be in despair as their humanist philosophies will have proven bankrupt. They will then not choose gold or any other kind of idol. In fact, they will throw them into the streets (Ezekiel 7:19). They will choose a false messiah. Nature of People: An Important Factor The other question we must ask in our diagnosis is this: Regarding attitudes, of what type of people is society today comprised? Can they bear hardship will they persevere through troubles? Or, will they feel entitled to rebel and fall into anarchy? We already commented on the role that Prosperity Theology has played in polluting the expectations of Americans, no matter what denomination of Christianity. The same nonsensical expectations have been promoted on a secular level. To this point, most people are still somewhat hopeful that government actions might bail them out of their troubles. But what would happen if these expectations were disappointed? Just what would be the response of the majority of people whose personal net worth has been devastated; their house values sunk below the value of their mortgages; and if they discovered that a very small group of rich people has become even richer? Any range of answers will include some frightening scenarios. To gauge the potential severity of any future outcome, it is useful to get a sense of the wealth devastation that the average America household has experienced. While it is true that people must be held accountable for the consequences of their own stewardship decisions, the fact remains that the impact of the GFC has been of a shocking scale. A study by the Center for Economic Policy Research surveyed the wealth effect of the GFC for American households.2 It included the effects of the declines in real estate values as well as financial markets to the end of 2008. The results are chilling, as they reveal the potential for severe desperation. Many people between the ages of 45 and 64 still have not paid off their houses. In fact, the situation is even much worse. Though perhaps owning their residences for more than two decades, a large number of households do not have positive net equity in their homes. Imagine.

Nearly 30 percent of the households headed by someone between the ages of 45 and 54 will need to bring money to their closing (to cover their mortgage and transactions costs) if they were to sell their home. Technically, they have negative equity in their home. For people between the ages of 55 and 64, the percentage is more than 15%. The authors of this report state that the median household between the ages of 55 and 64 experienced a drop in wealth of 50% since 2004. Consider that these estimates do not include the effects of further price declines in real estate and financial assets, which indeed did continue to sink in the

This was then followed by a post-war population boom, helping to boost economic growth. In a very short period of time, government debt fell to low levels as new households saved, raised families, paid off their houses and invested. Household debt throughout this entire period remained relatively low. In the early 1930s, high debt-to-GDP levels also occurred. However, at the start, the main cause of this rise was not government debt, but rather in the private sector (business and household). Then as the economy collapsed in the 1930s, government debt soared. Here the denominator (the economy) shrunk as debt continued to rise after the onset of economic crisis. To think that todays debt levels in the U.S. are far higher than at any other timealready even before an economic depression has begunis a sobering realization. There can be no doubt: The legacy of the current GFC will be radically higher government debt levels, not lower. As mentioned, non-financial debt-to-GDP was already at an all-time high before the crisis period began. Indeed, this itself was an important enabler and catalyst to the crisis in the first place. But as the choice has been time and again to outrun problems, the US government is now plunging into even more debt. Essentially, a bloodletting has been prescribed following an application of leeches. In a desperate attempt to restart the previous asset price maniasagain to inflate stock markets and real estate so as to forestall the devastation of net worth suffered by the average middle-class familythe solution is more debt. It is a response similar to that of a drug addict. Addictions must be fed by ever increasing doses, until finally, the veins do collapse. Yet, even these dynamics are not the worst parameter of this desperate time. This honor goes to a different factordemographics. The most sobering realization of all today is

early months of 2009. Quoting further from the study, The baby boom generation for the most part has insufficient time remaining before retirement to accumulate substantial savings. Therefore, they will be largely dependent on social insurance programs to support them in retirement. The most worrisome aspect of the massive declines in household net worth is that it has impacted the middle class disproportionately, and comes at a time when the many baby boomers are approaching retirement years. As such, the disaster that has befallen American households couldnt have come at a worse moment. A Demographic Bomb On Top Viewing the high debt levels in America and other nations, some people may well ask: Debt levels have been high before in Americas history, and the nation in these instances has recovered to higher levels of prosperity. Cant this happen again? No, this is not likely. High debt levels indeed occurred in the early 1930s and then again in the late 1940s. However, the prognosis in these cases was entirely different, as the causality was not the same. The 1940s debt obligations were the result of a world war. As such, government debt soared (to over 100% of GDP), in turn driving real spending in the production economy.

that an aging crisis is underway. It would not be an outrageous forecast that US government debt will triple relative to GDP over the next 7-10 years. Times of Brinkmanship and Desperation At this point, there a number of scenarios that could play out in the future. Though very different in form, they all will carry with them unfortunate consequences. This writer would surely wish to present a single scenario with a 100% probability. There are just too many possible complexities that could unfold over the next several years. However, we can at least be sure of a few future facts. We do know with certainty that there will be at least one more time of global prosperity. This must be so, or the world trading conditions depicted for Babylon the Great in Revelation 18 could not occur. Secondly, we know that a relatively balanced power coalition of 10 nations will emerge. That means that in some way or fashion, the United States and possibly also some other countries will decline in relative influence. Most certainly, this development must involve an economic decline, though not exclusively. All other outcomes or scenarios that precede or are outside of these two certainties are a subject of our speculation. Here there are several sets of possibilities. First, concerning the last global period of prosperity, as manipulated as it might be, will it occur after the 10 kings come on the scene or well before? Of course, there could be one or more global cycles of global prosperity, as we cannot know in advance as to when the Tribulation period will occur. However, our question here refers only to the last global economic cycle that is then seen inside the prophesied Tribulation. A second speculation then centers on the role of global crisis in driving the world into the waiting arms of the final 10 kings. We have already noted how global crises in the past have accelerated globalism. Here, the pivotal question is this: Have there been sufficient crises and global power rebalancing to create the necessary conditions for the 10 kings to align? Two observations will guide any speculation. First, the GFC to this point has not yet produced sufficient impetus for a global coalition of 10 nations to emerge. We have not seen the major changes required to support the powers of any global organization, or any major global policy changes. For this to unfold, at least one other round of global crisis is required. Why? Already, global policymakers are congratulating themselves as to having successfully averted a world financial meltdown. In May of 2009, US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was prattling: [] major policy intervention (including the Emergency Economy Stabilization ActEESA) was, in the end, successful in achieving the vital but narrow objective of preventing a systemic financial meltdown.3 We continue to expect economic activity to bottom out, then to turn up later this year, opined Ben Bernanke of the Federal Reserve.4 He is forecasting that the worst is behind. Internationally, the same sentiment prevailed. We are, as far as growth is concerned, around the inflection point in the cycle, said JeanClaude Trichet, President of the European Central Bank.5 If the heat of the crisis is overor so policymakers may thinkwe can be sure that momentum will be lost with respect to any of the high-minded policy prescriptions and pronouncements of the elite G20 meetings and various transnational organizations. It will take at least one more crisis to reignite this momentum, if not many more. In fact, it is not unreasonable to think that an even greater crisis than the GFC must occur. It need not be a new crisis. It could simply be the second stage of the GFC that has yet to unfold ahead.

Very likely, prices of all types of assets could soar in this environment. While this sounds hopeful, it is not. It may present a profit-making opportunity to investors for a time, but it also is a disaster scenario leading to further economic imbalances and skewing of wealth. The underlying destruction of America would certainly continue in earnest.
Where to find true riches? How to discern the real truths in this present age of rampant deception? What yet lies ahead for America, and how does the GFC fit into the prophetic timeline in these last days? Whatever our speculations, readers must conclude that the outlook for America is not promising. However, policymakers and people with much wealth who can benefit from insightful and timely advice realize this, too. That implies that desperate and selfish actions must be expected. In fact, as already reviewed, such actions on the part of the government have already been underway. Many unprecedented measures and initiatives have already been pursued in response to the GFC. An ion is an electrically charged atom, and GSI defines a heavy one as anything heavier than helium. This laboratory will be recreating a mini-version of the Big Bang, said Horst Stcker, the GSI scientific director, referring to the primal explosion 14 billion years ago with which the existence of the universe began. Finland is the worlds most prosperous nation, not only in monetary matters but in the quality of its democracy and governance, according to the latest Prosperity Index, to be launched by the Legatum Institute, the London-based think-tank. Finland took first prizeup from third last yearand is followed by Switzerland and the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Zimbabwe ranks last, just ahead of Sudan and Yemen. Legatum says it is trying to encourage the consideration of factors such as health, freedom, security and political governance as keys to prosperity, rather than material wealth alone. Its report follows a proclamation in September by a commission created by Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president, which said a countrys gross domestic product is an insufficient measure of well being. Three Balkan Countries to Get Visa-FreeTravel

Serbs, Macedonians and Montenegrins will be able to travel visa-free to Europe from 19 December, EU interior ministers decided recently.
EU enlargement commissioner Olli Rehn said the move was a big step in terms of EU integration and Europeanization of the civil societies in these countries and added that the other Balkan countries could join the visa-free regime once they met the conditions. This is a very important day for Serbian citizens. I have to remind ourselves that 20 years ago we didnt need visas and today we are turning back to that, Serbian President Boris Tadic said at a joint press conference with Mr. Rehn.
Earlier on, justice and civil liberties commissioner Jacques Barrot emphasized that the timing of the move would allow Serbs, Macedonians and Montenegrins to freely visit their relatives for Christmas in all EU cities part of the borderless Schengen area. London, however, will be still off-limits for the new visa-free travelers, as Britain is not part of the common border-free area. Under the agreement, citizens from Serbia, the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia and Montenegro will be able to travel visa-free for a period of 90 days within six months in all the 25 countries of the Schengen area. They must have a biometric passport, however. Back in Belgrade, the move is of particular importance to students interested in EU affairs, said Sonja Licht, head of the Belgrade fund for Political Excellence, a non-profit organization funded by the Council of Europe.
So far, students faced big problems when they wanted to travel abroad. For one, they could not afford it, and with queuing for days in order to get a visa, they would feel as second-rate citizens. Irans Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has warned Switzerland of unspecifiedconsequences if the ban on the construction of new minarets, approved by 57 percent of Swiss voters, is enforced.
The vote went against the prestige of a country which claims to be an advocate of democracy and human rights, Mottaki told his Swiss counterpart Micheline Calmy-Rey in a telephone conversation that was quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA. Switzerland prides itself on being the freest country on earth, with great tolerance toward foreigners. Presently, 28 percent of Switzerlands population is foreign-born (US 14%), but Switzerlands citizens voted and made it clear that the population does not want prayer towers (minarets) on their soil. Will this ban stand? Most likely not. While Switzerland does belong to the super-rich nations, it will not be able to withstand the pressure of the EU and the United Nations for too long. Ministers Give Nod to Albanias EU Application

Albania has advanced another step on the road to European Union membership, with EU foreign ministers backing the Balkan countrys request for official candidate status.
The ministers gave the nod to Tirana after ambassadors from the 27 member states endorsed the move at a meeting in Brussels. The ball is now in the court of the European Commission, which must assess whether Albania is ready to start talks. The assessment process can last up to one year. The Council [of ministers] re-affirms that the future of the western Balkans lies in the European Union, the foreign ministers said in a statement. Albania first applied for candidate status in April, shortly after having been admitted to NATO. The
countrys long wait for approval stands in contrast to Icelands application, which was waved through in a matter of days. Despite the development, it is certain that Tirana is looking at years of talks before it can join the European bloc. In the EU executives most recent assessment of the country, it found that Albania still had a long way to go in the battle against corruption and to set up an independent judiciary. Few advances in tackling organized crime, drug trafficking and money laundering also remain core concerns of the commission, as well as freedom of the press. The EU executive nevertheless felt that Albania had made progress in the last year. If the country does win candidate status, it will need to begin to implement substantial political and economic reforms.

European astronomers have found 32 new planets outside our solar system, adding evidence to the theory that the universe has many places where life could develop. Scientists using the European Southern Observatory telescope didnt find any planets quite the size of Earth or any that seemed habitable or even unusual. But their announcement increased the number of planets discovered outside the solar system to more than 400. Six of the newly found planets are several times bigger than Earth, increasing the population of so-called super-Earths by more than 30 percent. Most planets discovered so far are far bigger, Jupiter-sized or even larger.
One senses an over-eagerness of imagination at work relating to the possibility of earth-like planets. What is the real motive of this excitement? It is fueled by the belief that earth and life thereupon came about through evolution. Subsequently, there must be other earths somewhere. Junk Science Exposed in EvolutionaryTheory

Millions of high school and college biology textbooks teach that research scientist Stanley Miller, in the 1950s, showed how life could have arisen by chance. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Miller, in his famous experiment in 1953, showed that individual amino acids (the building blocks of life) could come into existence by chance. But, its not enough just to have amino acids. The various amino acids that make-up life must link together in a precise sequence, just like the letters in a sentence, to form functioning protein molecules. If theyre not in the right sequence the protein molecules wont work. It has never been shown that various amino acids can bind together into a sequence by chance to form protein molecules. Even the simplest cell is made up of many millions of various protein molecules. Also, what many dont realize is that Miller had a laboratory apparatus that shielded and protected the individual amino acids the moment they were formed, otherwise the amino acids would have quickly disintegrated and been destroyed in the mix of random energy and forces involved in Millers experiment. There is no innate chemical tendency for the various amino acids to bond with one another in a sequence. Any one amino acid can just as easily bond with any other. The only reason at all for why the various amino acids bond with one another in a precise sequence in the cells of our bodies is because theyre directed to do so by an already existing sequence of molecules in our DNA. In Nature there are what scientists call righthanded and left-handed amino acids. However, life requires that all proteins be left-handed. So, not only do millions of amino acids have to be in the correct sequence, they also all have to be left-handed. If a right-handed amino acid gets mixed in then the protein molecules wont function. There wont be any life! Similarly, the nucleic acids in DNA and RNA must be in a precise sequence. The sugar molecules that make-up the various nucleic acids in Natural selection cannot produce anything. It can only select from what is produced. Furthermore, natural selection operates only once there is life and not before. Natural selection is not an active force. It is a passive process in nature. Only those variations that have survival value will be selected or be preserved. Once a variation has survival value then, of course, its not by chance that it is selected. But, natural selection, itself, does not produce or design those biological variations. The term natural selection is simply a figure of speech. Nature does not do any active or conscious selecting. It is an entirely passive process. Natural selection is just another way of saying natural survival. If a biological change occurs that helps a species to survive then that species, obviously, will survive (i.e. be selected). Natural selection can only select from biological variations that are possible in a species. Micro-evolution, or variations within a biological kind, such as the varieties of dogs, cats, horses, and cows, is truly possible and is truly science but not macro-evolution. Macro-evolution, variations across biological kinds, is not science but faith. The genes exist in all species for micro-evolution but not for macro-evolution, and there is no scientific evidence that random genetic mutations caused by natural forces such as radiation can or will generate entirely new genes for entirely new traits. Another problem for macro-evolution is the issue of survival of the fittest. How can a partially evolved species be fit for survival? A partially evolved trait or organ that is not completely one or the other will be a liability to a species, not a survival asset. Evolutionists believe and teach that random mutations in the genetic code, caused by the envi(continued next page)

A partially evolved cell cannot wait millions of years to become complete because it would be highly unstable and quickly disintegrate in the open environment, especially without the protection of a complete and fully functioning cell membrane. And even having a complete cell doesnt necessarily mean there will be life. After all, even a dead cell is complete shortly after it dies! Of course, once there is a complete and living cell then the genetic code and other biological mechanisms exist to direct the formation of more cells. The question is how could life have arisen naturally when there was no directing mechanism at all in Nature. The great British scientist Sir Frederick Hoyle has said that the probability of the sequence of molecules in the simplest cell coming into existence by chance is equivalent to a tornado going through a junk yard of airplane parts and assembling a 747 Jumbo Jet! Thanks to popular evolutionist writers like Richard Dawkins, many in society have come to believe that natural selection will solve all of evolutions problems.

According to a poll commissioned by the Pew Research Center, 49 percent of Americans think the U.S. should mind its own business in its dealings with world affairs and to let others get along on their own. The figure represents an increase from 30 percent in December 2002.
Just 32 percent of respondents expressed support for the presidents decision to deploy more forces to Afghanistan, while 40 percent agreed that the president should begin to wind down the U.S. military presence in the country. In addition, 46 percent said the Afghan government needs to prove itself capable of neutralizing the threat posed by radical Islamists. Forty-one percent of those polled said they felt the U.S. was fulfilling a less central role as the world superpower in comparison to ten years ago. The surveys authors said the economic crisis was the likely factor contributing to the increasing isolationist sentiment in U.S. public opinion. Americans are also displeased with a situation whereby U.S. troops are waging two simultaneous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Among those polled, 44 percent were convinced that China is the leading global economic power today. Just 27 percent said the U.S. was the top economic giant. As for the Middle East, 51 percent of respondents said they viewed Israel more favorably than the Palestinians, while 12 percent said they had greater sympathy for the Palestinians. About one-fifth of those polled said they had no opinion on the matter.

Although it may be true temporarily, in the long run, we must consider statements of Holy Scripture, which clearly show that the entire world will be unified in preparation of a oneworld government. Even if a good mutation occurred, for every good one there would be hundreds, even thousands, of harmful ones so that the net effect over time will be disastrous for the entire species. In the midst of arguments over evolution and intelligent design, it is amazing how many in society, including the very educated, believe that scientists had already created life in the laboratory. No such thing has ever happened.
All that scientists have done is genetically engineer already existing forms of life in the laboratory, and by doing this scientists have been able to produce new forms of life, but they did not produce these new life forms from non-living matter. Even if scientists ever do produce life from non-living matter it will only be through intelligent design or planning, so it still wouldnt help support any theory of life originating by chance or evolution. Even artificial, or synthetic life, is a creation by scientists, through intelligent design, of a DNA code built from scratch which is then inserted into an already existing living cell. There simply is no scientific basis for believing life could have arisen by chance processes even if given the right environmental conditions to sustain life.

Answer: The first temple is the one Solomon built. Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, and Zechariah speak of the temple Zerubbabel built. That is the second temple. Because of Zerubbabels faithfulness in obeying the command of the Lord, he becomes a prophetic messenger for the temple that is yet to be built. According to my understanding, the next temple will be the one desecrated by the Antichrist, but then a fourth and final one will be the temple of the kingdom of peace.

I would not use the phrase under the blood, because it indicates a covering; the blood of Jesus takes away sins. When a person accepts the payment for his sin, he then receives a new spirit, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father (Galatians 4:6). We are recipients of the new spirit, not a born-again soul. The receiving of this spirit is exemplified in Scripture: Ezekiel 11:19, 18:31, 36:26, or Isaiah 42:1:I have put my spirit upon him, which is later confirmed in Matthew 12:18. Consider also 1 Corinthians 15, beginning with verse 45. Hebrews 4:12 says that the word of God pierces to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. The newborn spirit receives the things of God; the soul cares for life in the flesh.

John 3:16 states, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life, and Romans 10:13 says, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. But in Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus says, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you:

depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Is this a contradiction? Is Jesus qualifying the statement so that whosoever does not actually mean everyone, just a select few who are good enough? succession of the rebirth is documented in Ephesians 1:13: In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. Answer: John 3:16, Romans 10:13 and other verses are invitations to believe in Jesus Christ. The moment we believe, we are changed from the insidea new spirit is born within us. But that new spirit dwells in the old sinful tabernacle. Therefore, the soul-body must be subjected to the leadership of the new spirit, which is the spirit of Christ. Those mentioned in Matthew 7 are not believers but religiously active people, who base their salvation not on faith, but on their works. Satans Fall Dear Mr. Froese, Ive been reading and enjoying the Midnight Call for several years and have read several of your books, the last one being Preparing for the Mark of the Beast. I agree with your comment that a better title might be, How the World Is Preparing for the Mark of the Beast, but that is not my reason for writing. In Preparing for the Mark of the Beast, you provide Scriptures that tell us when Satan will be expelled from heaven, which are not the same as the time of Satans rebellion. God
has apparently allowed Satan and his gang of thugs to hang around the street corner called earth for thousands of years. The Scriptures you quoted indicate that Satans expulsion from heaven will occur at or about the same time as the Rapture. Satan was present in the Garden and has evidently been able to roam freely between earth and the heavens as our accuser, but are there Scriptures that speak to when Satans rebellion occurred? If I understand correctly, when Satan enticed Eve into sinning by eating from the tree of knowledge, that is when he took ownership of this world and gained legal right to all sinners. If Satan is sin, then is it possible that sin could have existed in the heavenly realm before the creation of the world? Obviously, this question is not important as it has no eternal consequences, or perhaps it is one of those questions where the Bible is silent and there is no answer. But just in case you have some insight, I thought I would ask.

It is evident from the first two chapters in the book of Job and Zechariah chapter 3, that Satan has access to the throne of God. The purpose? To accuse the brethren day and night. Answer: Satans fall is mentioned in Isaiah 14:12-14 in a speech to the king of Babylon; through him the originator of sin is revealed. Ezekiel 28 speaks to the king of Tyrus, but behind him is the anointed cherub, who was perfect the day he was created; this is not King Tyrus, but Satan himself. Jerusalem. The Bride of the Lamb is the Church, His Body. She is bought with the blood of the Lamb from among the Jews and the Gentiles. Jesus made an interesting statement about John the Baptist in Matthew 11:11, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. What does it mean? John does not belong to the Bride of Christ. That distinction is also confirmed in John 3:29.The 144,000 sealed ones also belong to the friends of the Bridegroom. The man without a wedding garment is part of a parable; it serves to illustrate that even if someone could get into the wedding celebration, he still would be cast out because he lacks the proper attire, which can only be obtained through faith in Jesus Christ.
Answer: When reading Revelation 19:7-8, 21:2, 9 & 10, we note that the Lambs wife is not revealed. She is veiled in the glory of the holy city

Concerning your response to the question on the outward appearance, the light we shine is His Light. I agree to your answer that this Light comes from within: yes, from a heart after God. From a pure, cleansed, and sanctified heart. Praise His Name. However, you wrote that the moment we begin to preach on how to appear outwardly, we are establishing laws and it will lead to hypocrisy to no end.

Now suppose I am expounding on 1 Peter 3: when I come to verse 3, shall I skip over that verse because it speaks of the outward appearance? Am I not to preach on the outward appearance or make any practical, present day application? How about 1 Corinthians 11:14, where it says, If a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? Outward appearance? And 1 Timothy 2:9all these beautiful verses have to do with outward appearance. If we couple the beauty of a clean heart by the blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Ghost with godly attire, we have a wonderful testimony for Jesus. Praise His Name. There are other verses dealing with outward appearance, but let these suffice. I really believe you owe your readers an explanation on this answer that you gave. You are certainly right that much hypocrisy and dead formalism can hide under outward appearance, but the misuse of any good thing does not argue for its non-use. Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due time we shall reap (if we faint not).

First Timothy 2:9 identifies modest apparel in conjunction with shamefacedness and sobriety. That means modesty and sanity. The same verse lists the things which do not qualify as modest apparel, but are not actually condemned. Verse 10 names good works as an ingredient of modest apparel. First Peter 3:1-6
gives additional information. The ornament of the woman is expressed in her subjection unto her husband:a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price (verse 4). The fact that today Christian sisters dress in a provocative manner is primarily due to the failure of presenting the full Gospel to the Church. The change must come from within. When it becomes law, then it is from without. Such will lead to hypocrisy to no end. MC
