COURSE REQUIREMENT TRACK (OPTION 1):


RESEARCH-BASED LEARNING MODEL
DIRECTION: You may choose one slot per option by marking X the box. The curriculum structure (see the Registrar) corresponds with the learning format you have selected, the class distribution by hour per degree type, and the academic systems below. Unless otherwise indicated, the minimum number of pages required per subject is twenty. Note: Should there be errors or discrepancies in the course of our correspondence and the information provided, kindly let us know and we shall rectify them accordingly. Choose (check) your academic path: Baccalaureate 20 pages (per subject) x 42 subjects (for the whole program) = 840 pages (210,000 words) 20 pages (per subject) x 18 subjects (for the whole program) = 360 pages (90,000 words) 20 pages (per subject) x 24 subjects (for the whole program) = 480 pages (120,000 words)

PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL
DIRECTION: You will create open-ended questions in a Question and Answer (Q&A) format based on your research readings. Your answers will be in a summative essay-type that corresponds to the curriculum of your degree program. Choose (check) your academic path: Baccalaureate 20 questions (per subject / 1 page per question) x 42 subjects (whole program) = 840 questions / pages (210,000 words) 20 questions (per subject / 1 page per question) x 18 subjects (whole program) = 360 questions / pages (90,000 words) 20 questions (per subject / 1 page per question) x 24 subjects (whole program) = 480 questions / pages (120,000 words)

Summative Test measures what the student has learned: the scope, breadth, and depth. Self-made essay-type tests are valuable because (a) it reveals reasoning procedures, originality, and initiative; (b) it tests ability to organize; (c) it offers opportunity to exercise discrimination and judgment; and (d) it allows for interpretation of thought. Your writing format will follow the Introduction, Body, Conclusion system where your answers should: Compare and contrast two things Present cause and effect Define or analyze a particular aspect Present one side of an argument or both Provide evidence and draw conclusion Present a problem, then provide a solution
