MURALARTS.ORG
Mural Arts mission is to unite artists and communities through a collaborative process, rooted in the traditions of mural making, to create art that transforms public spaces and individual lives. We carry out this mission by annually leading more than 50 public art projects and three core programsone for youth, one for those in and coming out of prison, and one for those struggling with behavioral health challenges. We use the inspiring, complex, and galvanizing process of creating public art to help more than 25,000 people annually learn new skills, tell unique stories, steward communities, and leave a visible impact on Philadelphia. We have a proven history in bringing together artists, public agencies, non-prots, and individuals to conceptualize, design, create, and install works of public art. Our collaborative, context-driven approach inspires a sense of communal ownership over public space and empowers people to continue to work for positive change in their communities. When you partner with Mural Arts, you become part of an established, strategic model that engages community members in participatory public art which encourages the beautication and ownership of shared spaces in Philadelphias neighborhoods. Let us help you use participatory public art to ignite positive change in your district.
