What is to be seen from each house

First House The first house represents the physical body, hair, complexion, limbs, good or ill-health, the character as a whole, temperament, personality and span of life. This is the house of self and is also known as Tanusthana. Second House It is known as kutumbasthana or the house of family or clan. It is the house of money and money matters and is also called Dhansthana. It also indicates ones attainments like jewellery, gems, bonds, securities, etc. It and is to be seen for speech, face, left eye, nose, tongue and the food habits. It is also the house of death. Third House This house is to be seen for younger siblings and is known as Sahajbhava, short journeys, letters and quick writing. This is the house of courage, firmness, valour and prowess. It is also examined for sports, artistic talents, extra-curricular activities. Fourth House This is the house of mother. It relates to home, residence or domestic environment and happiness and is called Bandhubhava. It shows landed and immovable property or assets, conveyances or vehicles. It has a bearing on education and initial studies. Fifth House This is the house of progeny or Putrasthana and shows whether one can have children or not. It is the house of education, intelligence, and the power of discrimination. Pleasures, cinema, amusements, speculation, gambling and betting are affairs of fifth house. This house also shows the romances and love affairs and their success or failure. The merits of previous birth are to be seen from this house. Sixth House This house is seen for diseases and becomes important both for the patient

and the doctor and is seen for injuries and accidents. It shows enemy or opposition and the type of enemies one can have and is thus called Aristhana or Ripusthana also. It indicates loans, debts and litigations. It is connected with work and service and shows strife in work. Also governs pets, maternal uncles and cousins. Seventh House This house is seen primarily for marriage or union and depicts ones spouse and hence is known as Kalatrasthana or Yuvtisthana. It also shows business partners or all those with whom one enters into legal contract. It shows travels and trade. Death is also seen from this house along with second house. Eighth House This house governs longevity or span of life and is called Aayusthana or Randhrasthana and cause of death, long/chronic illnesses and accidents are to be seen from this house. Sexual and conjugal life are also part of eighth house. Legacies, inheritance, sudden financial gains and wills also come under the domain of this house. This house is also connected with researches and indepth studies. Ninth House Ninth house governs luck and is also known as Bhagyasthana. This is the house of Guru and father who is the first Guru. It rules faith, wisdom and religion so it gives spiritual tendencies and initiation, charity, devotion, higher learning and pilgrimages. It is also ascribed to law and arbitration and shows all legal and judiciary affairs. Long and distant journeys are seen from this house. Dreams and visions come under this house. Tenth House It is the house of lordship, dignity, honour and public esteem. A persons name and fame, prestige, success and status, ambition and authority is judged from this house. Being the Karmsthana, it presides over ones profession, occupation or business and achievements therein. All worldly activities of a native are seen from this house. . Eleventh House Commonly referred to as Labhasthana, this house shows the net balance or profit accrued by the native and thus shows prosperity and progress.

Besides this, elder siblings, friends and associates are seen from this house. This house is also seen for fulfilment of desires. Twelfth House Also called Vyayasthana, it shows loss and expenditure. It denotes impediments, restraints and limitations. Exile, imprisonment, and hospitalisation are associated with this house. These days, foreign journeys and getting settled in a foreign country, trade/work with a foreign country are to be seen from this house.
