COMMENTS: Stromtechs Ltd have responsibility to ensure the safety of all persons. It should be remembered therefore that
EES's work activities can create an interaction with others and thus cannot be viewed in isolation. The work activities require that all persons in the area are made aware of the hazards and risks created before work begins and that in doing so we interact with the Principal Contractor to ensure controls are in place.

COMMENTS: Always bear in mind that the assessment of risk cannot be viewed in isolation. In order to obtain the "full picture of
risk" we need to consider each hazard present as part of a series of assessments. The total level of Risk needs to consider areas such as requirements for System of Work Employed,; Work Equipment in Use; Electrical Safety; Manual Handling; Work at Height; PPE and Protection of Third Parties on site.

(Name) Work at Height will be planned to ensure fall prevention. Accordingly provision of all Work at Height Equipment will be subject to a Task Specific Risk Assessment. 1 1 1 s smith Subject to a suitable PPE Risk Assessment, eye, hand, head and face protection will be worn at all times when personal injury could result whilst handling cables. If working in occupied premises, areas directly below will be cleared of personnel and warning signs displayed before work begins. Operatives will be trained in Manual Handling techniques and instructed in the precautions for safe work. A Pre-start Survey will be conducted to check route, manpower and equipment needs. Free running cable stands and motorised winders will be utilized when pulling cables through multi-storey buildings and over long distances. Good communications will be maintained at all time. Cable pulls will be smooth and maintained at a reasonable rate to prevent over-stretching, repeated twisting and bending. A Banksman will be positioned at the drum to ensure that over-run does not occur.

Slips, Trips & Falls

Route will be travelled / examined and any foreseeable slip, trip, fall hazards removed or rectified before work commences. Open risers, uneven floor slabs and / or pre-cut access points will be protected to avoid personal injury. Work will be monitored to ensure that additional precautions are taken if edge protection must be removed. Electrical supplies will be isolated in adjacent cables where and whenever possible. Cables will be examined after installation to ensure they remain undamaged.
