Consumer Price Index: January 2013

The Consumer Price Index was 107.3(2010=100) in January 2013. The index increased 0.6 percent from the preceding month and rose 1.5 percent from January 2012.
The index excluding agricultural products and oils was 105.9 in January 2013. The index increased 0.4 percent from the preceding month and rose 1.2 percent from January 2012. < The Current Trend of Consumer Price Index >

< Month-on-month changes > The index for Food and non-alcoholic beverages, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and Furnishings, household equipment & routine maintenance increased 1.9 percent, 0.7 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.1 percent respectively in January. The index for Health, Transport, Education and Restaurants and hotels went up 0.9 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent respectively in January. The index for Miscellaneous goods and services decreased 0.1 percent in January. The index for Clothing and footwear, Communication and Recreation and culture were unchanged in January.
