?-!ecti,e
I am loo ing for#ard for a challenging pro!ect in the form of a summer internship $during the period May%&uly '(()*, #here I can e+ercise my engineering and interpersonal s ills and that gi,es me an opportunity to learn ne# things and e+plore future career possi-ilities.

Educational @ualifications
May 2006: E+pected .achelor of Technology in Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. March 2000: Earned /ll India Senior School 0ertificate #ith a percentage of 1'.23 from the I.S.0 .oard from 4a Martiniere 0ollege, 4uc no#. March 1998: Earned /ll India Secondary School 0ertificate #ith a percentage of 1(.53 from the I.0.S.E .oard from 4a Martiniere 0ollege, 4uc no#.

Aesearch Interests
Materials processing and characteri6ation, 7o#der Metallurgy, 4i8uid phase and solid state sintering, structure%property correlation, alloy design and nanocrystalline materials.

1) In,estigated the effect of Yttria Alumina Garnet Additi n n !intered P"M #16$ and %#%$ &tainle!! &teel under the guidance of Dr./.Upadhyaya $I.I.T.Kanpur*. Stainless steels produced -y po#der metallurgical processing are #idely used for automoti,e applications. 79M stainless steels consolidated through solid%state sintering contain porosity. The o+ide and car-ide dispersion that is done to enhance the #ear%resistance further reduces densification during sintering and degrades -oth the mechanical properties and #ear%resistance. This study aimed at enhancing the sintera-ility of o+ide dispersed stainless steel composites -y supersolidus sintering and composition modification through alloying additi,es. 2) In,estigated the e''ect ' !interin( tem)erature n the P re &i*e M r)h l (y in the +e,2Cu, 0-9C all y! under the guidance of Dr. /. Upadhyaya $I.I.T.Kanpur*. 7ores are an intrinsic property of all the con, entional sintered po#der metallurgy products and play an important role in defining the mechanical properties of materials. Microstructural defects, especially, porosity #ith irregular morphology acts as a stress concentrator. This study #as implemented to determine ho# different sintering temperatures influence the pore morphology. Different stereological parameters #ere determined through image analysis to 8uantify the morphological change #ith temperature. #) :or ed on a pro!ect for 0rompton ;rea,es 4td that re8uired the study and analysis of the Chr mium,C ))er all y! u!ed in Vaccum .nterru)ter!/ under Dr. /.
