Fungicidal Wall Paint for Wet Areas
Product Description
Uses Fungicidal, colour, one-pack emulsion paint. For painting concrete and rendering, especially in places sensitive to fungal attack, e.g. rooms in waterworks, breweries, wine cellars and textile factories. Fungicidal. Good adhesion in damp conditions. Condensation resistant. RAL 1013, oyster white. 17.5 ltr. Use as soon as possible; max. 12 months. Like all substances containing water, Sikagard -676W is susceptible to frost. Delivery only at above-zero temperatures. Store protected from frost! Liquid: approx. 1.38 g/ml. Solid: approx. 1.80 g/ml. % by weight: approx. 64% % by volume: approx. 50% Sikagard -676W is waterproof and weatherproof; also resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, chemically aggressive environments, animal and vegetable oils and fats. Not resistant to concentrated acids, alkalis and hot water. For normal duty: 2 x Sikagard -676W. Thin first (priming) coat, adding 5 10% water depending on condition of substrate. For heavy duty (exposure to chemicals, water): 3 x Sikagard -676W. Here too, thin first coat. Priming coat: For smooth rendering and prewetted surfaces, approx. 0.12 0.20 ltr./m2. Top coat: Approx. 0.20 0.25 ltr./m2 per coat. The requirement may be considerably higher for rough-textured rendering or concrete. Do not apply inside water reservoirs. Free from dust, with sufficient strength and key, stripped of residual paint. Do not apply Sikagard -676W to concrete or rendering younger than 28 days. Any concrete or cementitious rendering must be cured and air-dry (this usually takes max. 4 weeks.) non-hydraulic lime plaster must be fully cured prior to painting (this can take up to half a year). Abrade old, tightly adhering coatis, e.g. oil paints, and prime with thinned Sikagard -676W. Roughen smooth coats of oil paint, e.g. on timber, by prior washing with ammonium chloride solution or by abrading.

Min. + 8C Max. + 30C The material is supplied ready to use; stir well prior to application. Brush application: Best using ceiling brush or bridled round brush. Roller application: Lambskin roller. Spray application: Airless spraying unit, approx. 200 bar, nozzle size 0.38 0.48 mm spraying angle 60 Water. +10C +20C +30C Sikagard -676W 8 hours 5 hours 1 hour Efficient ventilation provided. The coat may seem to be properly dry if no paint comes off, when rubbed with a wet finger. The dry coat should cure for at least another two days prior to exposure to water; ensure adequate level of air exchange, particularly in deep locations. Remnants of the not fully cured product must be disposed of according to law. Fully cured material can be disposed of as household waste according to local regulations. The provisions or the dangerous goods regulations must be observed. During application observe hints on labels as well as local regulations.
