The Song of Truth Chapter ONE Calcutta, India

Many sat with Dadaji this morning at his family home, in an atmosphere of peace. A man whose work was that of a barrister-at-law, appointed Chief Justice of the igh Court, spoke. !D adaji, would you speak to us of "od. And how do we know that what you say is true#!

Dadaji smiled gently and spoke.... $ecause the %upreme Authority of the &ni'erse told me. $ut, you must not belie'e Dadaji either. (ou must go to the %upreme within and find the )ruth of these words. Dadaji ne'er claims to be %aint "uru, or "od. *f * am "od, you too are "od. "od is misunderstood and described in so many ways, depicted in so many forms. Countless churches, temples, mos+ues, statues, images, and dolls ha'e been created by humanity for the purpose of worship. All claim the true faith, the only "od or "ods as their own. "od does not belong to them, instead they belong to "od, all belong to "od. "od is not one in three or three in one. "od, , the %upreme

Almighty Authority of the &ni'erse is all in all. )here is only "od. Dadaji refers to "od as e, but that is not masculine gender. -e are all both he and she. "od is that which is infinite and eternal, the essence itself. "od is not a concept but the only reality. -ith our minds so inhibited we cannot reali.e im, we are caught up in the illusion of good and bad and right and wrong. %cience has done many things to make our li'es easier, but it cannot free the mind or bring us the peace and joy of reali.ing im. !%ome say "od is within us, some say "od is outside us. Dadaji says "od is both within and without. )here is no place in the &ni'erse that "od does not e/ist. %o why the need for churches, temples and holy places. )he whole &ni'erse is holy. 0eople for the purpose of business, for the purpose of collecting money ha'e created these institutions, made them ta/ free, for their own benefit. )he innocent people are cheated, e/ploited and con'inced to worship falsely. )hey are told that they must talk to priests, to dolls, that they through themsel'es, can not be in communion with "od.! 1'ery so often 2ne comes on this earth and speaks )ruth, saying that e who created the 2ne created all. )he messenger may be called Christ, 3rishna, $uddha. )he label may be Allah, $rahman, 4ishnu, or %hi'a, it matters not. -e must remember the message, not honor the messenger and worship him as the Almighty. )hey ne'er claimed to be "od. )hey came with simple messages. "od lo'es you. 5emember im. Do your Duty. 1njoy. (ou ha'e come to taste "od6s 7o'e. (ou ha'e come to taste "od6s 0eace. (ou ha'e come to li'e as 2ne with "od. "od, all at the same time is the Creator, the 0reser'er, the Destroyer. Many people no longer want to speak the -ord, "od, yet it is the most wonderful word. *t contains all form and name, yet remaining nameless and formless. )he Christian speaks of sin and the de'il, although Jesus came to speak of our 8ather, "od, and is lo'e for all is children. )he $uddhist speaks of suffering and practices mental and physical e/ercises to escape from the body, while $uddha taught that "od was beyond reali.ation of the mind, and to li'e the royal noble middle path. )he indus speak of austerity, penance, and karma, when 3rishna said simply take refuge in "od.

)he Jews speak of dietary laws and traditions while Moses said, ,!"od is one, lo'e im with all your heart, all your mind, and all your strength.! Dadaji says, ! "od is within, no penance, no de'otion, no "urus, no meditations are necessary or re+uired. "od is already with you, do not worry. "od is the easiest, the nearest, the dearest. "od is chanting within you twenty-four hours each day. )ruth is 2ne, the same for all. All religion is superstition. ow can it be )ruth if it all claims to be the only way and is making a business out of "od# *t separates people, creates wars and conflicts. "od does not know about Christians, indus, and Moslems. )hey are manmade. 9o caste, no religion, all are one in the same, brothers and sisters of the 2ne 8ather and Mother.! -1 CA9 D2 92) *9". !"od is the gi'er and the taker. *n the mind and body we are forced to li'e within the laws of action and reaction. 2nly in lo'e, beyond mind can we e/perience "od6s lo'e. )hat lo'e that is perpetual, that has no barriers, knows not t i m e or dis t a n c e : A s y;<6 o u = o ' e a n d remember "od, "od seems to lo'e and remember you more.

$ut, in fact, it has always been present. "od is steady and unchangeable. -ithout e/pectations "od is present. "od6s lo'e is present as the eternal sound of 9ame, chanting within you. )his was with you at the birth of the body and before. )his will be with you until the death of the body and after. !"od gi'es indications of this lo'e and only patience is re+uired to feel it. (ou will feel it in all your actions and be guided by this presence. A bout "od be careful. "od is truly your nearest and dearest.

!"od is our real best friend. "od is )ruth. 0eople always want "od, or )ruth to li'e up to their e/pectations or mental images. According to Dadaji, where there is mind there must be actions and reactions and wa'es of desire.

%atyanarayan, Creator of )ruth, is beyond mind and intellect, beyond our reach, but yet the dearest to all residing within as pure e/istence, as life. )hose who do not try to understand or assess im, e holds them firmly by the hand. "od remains far away from those who try to understand im. !Abo'e all, "od is fair and just and merciful. -e run away from "od, do not want "od, deny )ruth, curse , im, yet e is always with us, e'er helpful, permitting us

life itself. *f one thinks, 6* will make an effort to lo'e "od,6 then one cannot reach im. ! Dadaji has not saffron robes. e is amongst you all as a simple and natural 1lder $rother. !)here is no need for costumes, diet changes, name changes, or for going off to li'e in a ca'e. -orship "od by doing your duty, joyfully, not in sorrow. Do not make a stage play, a musical, a drarna or a comedy out of your de'otion. 9e'er trouble yourself with what is happening here and there with the faults of others. -hate'er you recei'ed in life, take that as "od6s blessing or "race. "race can be not getting what you want. *t is held back because you do not need that e/perience. *f you can open your heart to this, the road to peace is opened to you. !)here is a $engali saying that, 6-hoe'er seeks me, * place before them all dire ad'ersities and e'en then if they do not lea'e me and still seek me, then * become their humble ser'ant.6

!*n the worldly life the best medicine is to ha'e patience. 0eople are impatient, they want things right this moment, and are willing to pay for it. )hat is how "od-men, $abas, %aints, and $hagwans prey upon them. )hey offer sal'ation through techni+ues, mantras, and photo worship, for a price. )he price is so high, complete surrender to them, not to "od. )hey want you to become their disciple,

"od does not re+uire anything other than remembering im, do your work for im, in lo'e for im.! 5emember, this life is )ruth or Conse+uences. 7ife or )ruth itself e/acts payment for not conforming to it. )he $haga'ad "ita says in the discourse that speaks of reality, ! e who knows me, the unborn, without beginning, also the mighty 7ord of the worlds, he among mortals is undeluded and freed from sins. * am the self seated in the hearts of all creatures. * am the beginning the middle and the 'ery end of all beings.!
