Low mother nutrient status before and during pregnancy is one of mother and baby mortality predispose. Factors that influence primigravida nutrient status are nutrient knowledge and social economy status. Goal of this research was to analyzes correlation between nutrient knowledge level, and social economy status with nutrient status of primigravida in 2nd trimester at auxiliary community health center Tunjung Burneh Bangkalan. Design used in this research was cross sectional and the data collected from 21 June 2010 until 9 July 2010. Total sample was 24 primigravida in 2nd trimester by purposive sampling method, based on inclusion criterias. The independent variable was nutrient knowledge and social economy status. Dependent variable was nutrient status of primigravida in 2nd trimester. Data were collected using structured questionnaire and analyzed using spearman rank correlation test with significant level p 0,05. The results showed that respondents nutrient knowledge level was in good category and economy social status was in well category. There are significance correlation between nutrient knowledge with nutrient status (p = 0,010), there are also correlation social status with nutrient status (p = 0, 038), and correlation social status with nutrient status (p = 0,002). It can be concluded that the nutrient knowledge level and primigravida economy social status has correlation with nutrient status of primigravida in 2nd trimester. From this result, it is suggested that pregnant mother should improved knowledge about right food served method, eat habits and patterns, and also about food composition that fulfil balance nutrient through community activities.
