Providing Fiscal and Operational Benefits for Political Subdivisions

Nu Flow completed its first project for a California county and is looking forward to expanding its presence in the political subdivision market. With a long customer list of municipalities and government entities across the United States and Canada, the worlds leading small diameter pipe lining company provides many fiscal and operational benefits for counties and municipalities, alike. The below-mentioned project demonstrates that pipe system rehabilitation for a county facility can be achieved without causing any destruction to a property or causing any disruption to operations. Project: Use the Nu Line system to rehabilitate an HVAC system without causing destruction. Site: A California countys central heating power plant provides heating and cooling for several county office buildings in the downtown area. System: Steel HVAC pipes that run 300 feet from one heating and cooling tank to a return tank within the plant. The 4" diameter pipes are located four feet underground, surrounded by 480 volts of electrical conduit lines. The pipe system is more than 30 years old. Problem: An evaluation of the pipes revealed that they have a lot of interior corrosion. The customer wanted to repair the aged pipes, but did not want to take the chance of cutting any electrical lines, due to the high voltage. Circumvention: If the customer chose a traditional repipe instead of Nu Flows innovative technology, then normal operations within the plant would be disrupted. The concrete above the pipes would have to be jackhammered and removed. The pipes would also have to be carefully removed without touching the electrical conduit lines, which could be infeasible. A traditional repipe would be severely inconvenient, messy, destructive and dangerous for the central plant. Solution: The customer was excited to see the benefits of pipe lining versus a traditional replacement in their facility. Nu Flow technicians used existing access points to clean and line the HVAC system, preventing the need for any destruction to the county property. Clean, compressed air pushed Nu Flows HighTemp epoxy through the pipes, creating a barrier coating after it cured. This epoxy coating will protect the pipes that carry water up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and in addition, prevent future corrosion build-up, pinhole leaks and other common failures. Nu Flows non-intrusive pipe lining process, Nu Line, preserved the electrical conduit lines and prevented any disruption to the facilitys normal operations, while greatly extending the useful life of the pipe system.

Nu Flows non-intrusive pipe lining process preserved the electrical conduit lines and prevented any disruption to the facilitys normal operations.
