Introduction:

The M200 is a centralized element management system (EMS) of huawei mobile networks. It manages mobile NEs in a centralized manner.

Description The time displayed is the time of the client. The log, fault, and security information is provided by the server. Therefore, the displayed time is the time of the server. The menu bar shows the main menu of the system. The status bar displays the current status information about the system, such as the current user and the IP address of the

Main Topology Management Function :

Procedure 1. Choose Topology > Main Topology from the main menu.

The topology management is a way to present the topology relationship between NEs, subnets, and links on a network by graphics. The topology management functions include importing/exporting data into/from a file, setting the background, as well as NE layout and monitor. Topology management provides the following functions: Imports topology objects from a file to a physical view; exports topology objects from a physical view to a file. Creates, modifies, and deletes subnets, NEs, links, and custom views. Zooms out, zooms in, locks, and unlocks a view. Sets the background (including an empty background) for a view. Arranges the objects in the current subnet in good order. Moves, copies, and pastes the objects in a subnet. Filters topology objects by object types. Searches for topology objects locally or globally. Monitors the alarming and connection of NEs.

Fault Management Function:
Alarms are classified into critical, major, minor and warning severities. This section describes how to adopt corresponding processing policies for different alarm severities and redefine the alarm severities

Alarm Severity Critical Major Minor

Description A critical alarm indicates that a service-affecting fault occurs and an immediate corrective action is required. A major alarm indicates that a service-affecting fault occurs. If the fault is not rectified urgently, it leads to a serious result. A minor alarm indicates a fault currently does not affect service occurs and that a corrective action should be taken in order to prevent a more serious fault. A warning alarm indicates a potential or impending service-affecting fault is detected before any significant effects have been found.

Querying the Alarm:

You can view the log information of every alarm in the log library by setting the conditions for querying alarms logs.

Procedure

1. Choose Monitor > Query Alarm List or Logs from the main menu, or click on the toolbar. 2. In the Filter dialog box, set the alarm query conditions.

Click New Query, or right-click any node except OMC in the navigation tree, and then choose New Query from the shortcut menu. If you must save the latest query conditions as a template, you can click Condition to view the query conditions that are set for last operation. 3. On the Object Settings, Counter Settings, and Other Settings tab pages, set the conditions for querying the measurement results. 4. Click Save Template. 5. In the displayed Save as dialog box, enter the name of the new template. The template name is composed of up to 64 characters, including numerals, spaces, English letters, and some special characters ! { } [ ] ( ) , . ; and underlines. 6. Object Settings:
Search for a measurement object in the measurement object navigation tree by entering the key in the measurement object name and then clicking Find.

I Manager M2000
Counter Settings:

Search for a measurement Counter in the measurement Counter navigation tree by entering the key in the measurement object name and then clicking Search. In the Available Counters area, the counters that are not set for performance measurements are in grey. The number of selected counters that are already set for measurements should not exceed 150. In the Selected Counters area, the number of selected counters is displayed.

Other Settings:

No. (1)

Description Defaultly Continuous Time Mode is check but if u check Section Time Mode then you get results within separate time segments. For the same query template, you can set a maximum of three time segments. The start time of each time segment must be earlier than the end time. The start time of the next time segment must be later than or the same as the end time of the current time segment.

(2)

All Queries all the measurement results of certain counters under the selected objects based on the query template.

Today Queries the measurement results of certain counters under the selected objects within the current day based on the query template.

I Manager M2000
Yesterday Queries the measurement results of certain counters under the selected objects within the last day based on the query template. Specific Queries the measurement results for certain counters under the selected objects within a specified time segment based on the query template. In this case, Start Time and End Time must be set. (3) Period: In Huawei we are using mostly 3 Period 15 minutes 60 minutes 24 hour

Tasks Management :

The M2000 supports the function of managing tasks of synchronizing measurement results, which involves viewing task information in a centralized manner, filtering tasks, sorting tasks, viewing task status, managing task priority, restarting a task, and canceling a task. This function helps users clearly understand task status so that repetitive operations are avoided. In this way, system resources are saved.
