A Splendid Time The Heritage of Imperial Rome

How to organize an event for 2.5 million participants? Triumph Asia tells you that

On November 29th 2013, the art exhibition A Splendid Time The Heritage of Imperial Rome successfully closed at the Emperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, in Xian, one of Chinas ancient capitals. 2013 11 29 The exhibition, co-organized by Triumph Asia (the China Division of Triumph Group International) in partnership with Contemporanea Progetti, exceeded an overall 2.5 million visitors over its 12 month exhibition in China, in the cities of Wuhan, Changchun, Xian and Taiwan (Taipei), a remarkable result in terms of audience, showing the interest of contemporary China towards western culture and ancient civilizations.

Triumph Group International Contemporanea Progetti Italys Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the Tuscany Regional Bureau of Cultural Heritage were the main institutional supporters the exhibition.

The exhibition has a total of 300 cultural relics on display, courtesy of the National Archaeological Museum of Florence and Siena in Tuscany. The exhibits are grouped into six main categories: statues, coins, pottery, glassware, bronze implements and jewels. Organizing such a big archaeological exhibition can be a very challenging experience, especially on an international scale, says Raimondo Gissara, Partner and GM of Triumph Asia, We went through several critical moments, but our professional team supported by our international network of partners and institutions was always able to solve problems, provide solutions and deliver excellent work performances.

Its wasnt the first time for us to be in China with an art exhibition says Architect Patrizia Pietrogrande, President of Contemporanea Progetti: Certainly A Splendid Time the Heritage of Imperial Rome presents extraordinary technical difficulties due to the high number of artifacts and an elaborate exhibition design. Contemporanea Progetti Patrizia Poetrogrande : Peng Wen Director of the Exhibition Department of Emperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum says: It was really an honor to host this prestigious exhibition at our museum, we never registered such a high number of visitors for a temporary exhibition and we do believe that the quality of the exhibits and the modern exhibition design largely influenced this success. Only during the week of the National Holiday the exhibition had 400,000 visitors, this was really above our expectations.
