ANB 47, makes no sense

Hello faithful saints of the Lord,

Let’s talk about what happened when Adam fell and what happens when a believer gets
born again. Let me show you as much as I can for today. This is crucial so that you understand
your rights as a born again believer in Jesus Christ.

The first thing we must understand is who Adam was and what Adam was given. In
Genesis 1 we see that Adam was made in the image and likeness of God. What is the next thing
God says about Adam, ‘let him (it really says, ‘let all mankind’) have dominion over all the
earth.’ (Genesis 1:26 paraphrased). This is significant. God says let’s make Adam like Us
(Father, Son and Holy Spirit), what does that mean, let him dominate the earth. This is the first
time we see the truth that man was created to be the god of this earth. So, all rights and authority
on earth was given to Adam. In Genesis 2:7 we see another significant act, we see essentially a
retelling of God’s creation of man. In this version it says God breathed into Adam’s nostrils the
breath of life, and man became a living soul. Now one Hebrew translation says that Adam was
made ‘another speaking spirit.’ This is a crucial fact for us to understand. Your ability to speak
is not a physical ability, it is a spiritual ability. The importance of Adam’s ability to speak is
readily apparent in verses 19-24, where God brought things to Adam and had Adam begin using
his ability to speak, Adam began calling things, declaring what they were. Just so you know, the
Hebrew word for call here is qara. This words means to call or to summon, and it also means to
proclaim and pronounce. So it wasn’t like Adam was calling a bear a bear to name the bear, he
was calling forth them and pronouncing what they were, proclaiming what they were to be. He
was exercising his creative, literally creating, abilities.
So, back to Adam. Adam was the god of the earth. We all know that in Genesis 3:6
Adam ate the forbidden fruit. In doing so he bowed his knee to satan and thereby transferred all
the authority given to him to satan. For this reason satan is called in 2 Corinthians 4:4 the ‘god
of this world.’ How could he be called this unless he was this, and how could he be this unless
authority in this world was given him. Well who gave it to him, certainly not God. God never
said to him, get out of Heaven but go take the earth. No, God said get out and stay out. Then
God gave the authority, as we just saw, over all the earth, to Adam. So satan must have gotten it
from Adam, which he did, when Adam ate the fruit.
So let’s talk about what else happened to Adam when he ate. We can probably agree that
our minds do not know the level of genius and sheer power that Adam’s mind must have had.
By the same token, his physical body was utterly perfect. He would never have experienced any
sickness, and he ate from God’s meal plan. This perfection in Adam’s mind and body was
because they had never been tainted by sin. Think about it, a perfect mind, never tainted by the
imperfection of sin, he would be using 100% of his brain. Sickness is only a physical
manifestation of sin, so therefore he would never have known this either. Now most importantly,
like Adam’s mind and body were perfect, so was his spirit. Adam and God had a relationship it
would take some serious time of meditation and study to truly understand (for this same
relationship is largely, if not wholly, available to us now). Adam and God were able to walk in
perfect fellowship with each other, for a perfect God could have full fellowship with a perfect
man.
Now God told Adam if he ate of the wrong tree he would surely die, adam ate, and yes,
he died. Now he didn’t die physically for many years, his body was never meant to die, but sin
wore on him and wore on him until he eventually did. Spiritually, however, he died
immediately. This is clearly understood by the fact that God banished him from the garden of
eden. Perfect God could no longer walk and have fellowship with imperfect Adam.
Now, in truth, Adam became bound to much more than even sin itself when he fell, and
understanding the total impact of the fall helps us understand the total impact of what Jesus
Christ did for us. Adam also became subject to time. There was such a thing as day and night,
this being established by God in Genesis 1, but Adam was created like God to be an eternal
being, never to die. I believe whole heartedly in this truth that Adam had authority over time. I
believe that we can take authority over time, as true sons of God. This is a developing
revelation. For today let’s focus on another thing Adam became bound to, sense knowledge.
Let’s discuss what sense knowledge is. We all know that the vast majority of humans’
lives are entirely governed by what they can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. All decisions are
made in a brain that receives all of its knowledge from these five senses. Think of how your
daily life goes, most decisions you make are likely governed by what you see and hear about the
situation. Adam became a slave to the physical realities of this world. What can we say about
the physical realities here?

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for
the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2
Corinthians 4:18.
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that
things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

To God, the physical realities are worthless. To the people of God, we don’t even need
look at them. The physical realities of this life are far less important than that which we cannot
see, most importantly, spiritual realities. The Word of God is the highest form of truth. We
know that Jesus said the Holy Ghost will guide us in all Spiritual things and will guide us in all
truth (I Corinthians 2:13, John 16:13). Jesus also said God’s Word is truth (John 17:17). Now
another translation of this Greek word for truth is reality. The Holy Ghost will guide you into
reality, the Word of God is the reality. You see, what is unseen will pass away, but the Word of
God abides forever. What is unseen was framed by God’s Word. So while you may see
(physically perceive) something that goes against God’s Word, this is because satan is the god of
this earth, and he desires that all physical reality go against God’s Word. Remember, satan is the
great ‘deceiver’ and he wants to keep us away from all truth. The important thing is, though, that
we understand God’s Word is more real than what we can physically perceive.
Why is this important?
When Adam fell he became subject to sense knowledge? Several reasons lead to this.
Adam was immediately separated from true spirit to spirit interaction with God. He could no
longer dwell and have full awareness of the unseen, he began to have to live and work with the
seen. Moreover, he bowed his knee and transferred his authority to satan, when he did this he
became satan’s subject, or another subject of this sense knowledge that satan wants to enslave
every human in.

More Word for you:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews
11:1)
For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

We could play with these awesome verses all day, but let’s just look at a few truths. So
we walk by the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. If we are walking
by sight, this is the opposite of walking by faith. What is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen. It is the Word of God. By God’s Word you hope to receive what it
says. You can’t see all God’s Word says (like your right to go to Heaven) but your evidence is
His Word, and you believe it, for He honors it above His own name. You don’t see the things,
but you have the Word, which is just the same.

Remember we saw above we are to trust in the eternal things and not the things which do
appear. Why is this? Why is it important to understand how Adam’s sense knowledge
limitations separated him from God and bound him to satan’s influence on his thinking
and actions.

For the rest of your life, if you are flowing with God, He will be instructing you to do
things that make little to no sense according to your sense knowledge, hey, that must be the
meaning of that expression ‘makes no sense.’ According to your sense knowledge, God’s
commands will be ridiculous to you. If God told you to do something, and everything you saw
meant it looked great, you better check your ability to hear God. If what God tells you to do
requires no faith to go against what you physically perceive, God has not told you to do this.
First of all, God is not the god of this world. God is not the god of the physical realities of this
world. He created them, but he has been out of control here for some time. God will have you
working against these realities. God will have you exploit the very system of knowledge the
devil has built. Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6) and
whatever is not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23). You must have faith. Faith comes from God’s
Word (Romans 10:17). Fear, or at best information based on senses which receive only input
from the devil’s world, comes from sense knowledge.

Just look at how adam and eve bowed their knee to sense knowledge over God’s Word in
Genesis 1. The knew the Word of God, don’t eat the fruit, but it was pleasing to their eyes, and
pleasing to their taste. They allowed this knowledge to rule over their own perfect knowledge of
God’s Word, and they ate, and they were put away from God.

True faith is trusting in God’s Word when all in the physical realm says you are insane.
True faith is doing something all the non-Christians tell you never to do. True Faith is operating
according to God’s system in this fallen world, for this world opposes God and God’s ways. The
reality you see here is not of God. God is not the God of this reality, He is only the God of His
Word. These two are opposite systems (James 4:4).

So now, as for you. “The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a
quickening spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45). Jesus Christ was the last Adam. Not the second Adam,
there would never be another. Both are men born directly from God’s Spirit, born without the
taint of sin. The Last Adam has quickened you if you have accepted Him, and He has restored to
you all of Adam’s original rights and abilities.

A quickening spirit is the life-giving spirit (see Amplified translation). The first Adam
died. The Last Adam has come to restore to life the first Adam and all his seed, you and I. The
Quickening Spirit of Jesus Christ will also quicken, or raise to life, your spirit, once you accept
Him. When you accept Jesus Christ, spiritually you die and are reborn. You die in your sin and
your are immediately born from Heaven (another translation of Greek for ‘born again’ is ‘born
from above’). You become, spiritually, just like Jesus Christ. This means you are put in His
place, and consequently back in the original place that Adam was in. Jesus has already defeated
satan. We are in Christ Jesus and satan is under our feet (see Ephesians 1:20-23, 2:5,6). We are
on the throne on God’s right hand in Jesus Christ (same two verses in Ephesians). You again can
have perfect communion with Father God. Sickness and sin have already been defeated for you.
You must renew your mind, according to the perfection that is in your spirit already, by reading
God’s Word, so that your faith, through God’s power, will raise up and purge this sickness and
sin from your daily life. Jesus has already paid all the penalty for this, you need suffer no longer.
You also need be subject to sense knowledge no longer. You have communion with Father God.
The Holy Spirit lives within you. He can lead you according to Spiritual knowledge, and you are
free of this sense world, where nearly all the stimulation opposes God’s Word. Your senses
shouldn’t be guiding you, God should be. Your wisdom should be from within, not dictated
from fleeting realities that are without. You are free of time, sense knowledge, sickness and
disease. You regain your dominion over the whole earth.

These truths may seem shocking or ridiculous to some, but these are truths nonetheless.
If we can truly get a revelation of what Jesus Christ did for us, we will be better equipped and
enthused to walk out God’s perfect plan for our lives. The people of God perish for lack of
knowledge (Hosea 4:6), it’s time we understand the redemptive power of Jesus Christ and begin
to dominate on this world as we were originally meant to.
