REMARKS: Generally, upon application for Registration Stage1, all applicants are subject to an initial interview towards an assessment of their grasp of engineering fundamentals, and have their qualifications approved, except as follows: 1. Technical interviews are carried out if the applicants examinations results dictate a need for an assessment; 2. All applicants are subject to a technical interview; 3. These qualifications do not require a separate assessment by the Council; 4. An assessment is not generally required, except for applicants holding a Third Class or Pass; 5. No separate assessment for engineering degrees accredited by the Engineering Council (UK) for eventual registration with the ECUK as Chartered Engineer, without further learning. This includes 3-year degrees upgraded by appropriate matching sections as prescribed by the ECUK; 6. Eligible for direct registration with the CRPE, along with any other title of similar status from a signatory of the Washington Accord. Note1: For ALL overseas engineering qualifications, applications will be taken into consideration provided the degree is recognised in the country of origin as satisfying the entry requirement for the grade of Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) in that country or Ingnieur Diplm in France Note2: CRPE now accepts only engineering degrees obtained after a minimum of FOUR years full-time study, as assessed by the Council.
