Overview
• Grant Reporting Service being developed as part of the UKPMC
‘Phase 3’ development programme 2008 -2011
• Implementation by MIMAS (University of Manchester) supported by a
UKPMC Funders’ Steering Group
• Objectives:
Œ to help the Funders’ Group: monitor the effectiveness of their oa policy;
assess impact/output of individual grants and grant holders; determine
the value of their research portfolios
Πto provide benefits to the Researcher by: enabling grantholders to
easily report research outputs to their funders; offering a range of value-
added services such as ‘My Grants’ and ‘My Impact’ in a single location
• Two phases:
ΠGrantee Reports (released April 2009)
ΠFunder Reports (released October 2009 onwards)
Data
Several data sources used to generate reports:
• Grant and grantee information provided by Funders
• Existing ‘links’ between grant IDs and papers in PubMed/UKPMC
Πthrough use of the manuscript submission system

Πthrough manual linking via the UKMSS grant linking service
• Bibliographic data from PubMed/UKPMC
• WoS citation count API
• Scopus citation count API
• UKPMC downloads database
Grantee reports

download data for each paper
• All reports

Πexportable
Œ ‘publishable’
