EMT Online Enhanced Course January 14, 2013- May 22, 2013 Monday and Wednesday 6-10 PM EMS Staff Cost: Course Fee: $1050.00 Text and Supplies $ 150.00 The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is based on the National Emergency M Medical edical Services Education Standards. It includes, but not limited to, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, Life Span Development, Pharmacology, Airway Management, Recognition of Illnesses and treatment, , Trauma Management, Caring fo for r Special Patient Populations, and EMS Operations. Part of the course will be done on the internet. With successful completion of the course the student candidate will be allowed to register for the National EMT Test. The cost of this test is not included in tuition. Student will also be required to participate in clinical that are mandatory by the EMSRB in the State of Minnesota.

This course is for any current First Responder or EMR in the State of Minnesota. Again you must hold a current card from the EMSRB. It includes, but not limited to, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, Life Span Development, Pharmacology, Airway Management, Recognition of Illnesses a and nd treatment, Trauma Management, Caring for Special Patient Populations, and EMS Operations. First Responder, Emergency Medical Responder online Enhanced Course January 15, 2013 Class is held: January 15, 29, February 12 & 26, and March 5. Tuesday Nights from 6-10 PM EMS Staff Cost: Course Fee $395.00 Text and Supplies $120.00 The Emergency Medical Responder Course is based on the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards. This course covers the required material to become certified in the State of Minnesota as a First Responder, EMR. The class will cover Anatomy, Patient Assessment, and Safety of the EMR, Medical Emergencies, Trauma Emergencies, EMS Operations, and equipment usage suitable for the First Responder, EMR to care for the patient until the care is handed over to the EMT or Paramedic level and transferred to a hospital or medical facility. Part of this course will be done on the internet. Emergency Medical Responder Bridge Refresher Online Enhanced April 13, 2013 Saturday 8-6PM Hibbing Community College Course Cost: $150.00 This course will be a refresher for the Certified or recently lapsed (with-in a year of expiration date). It will cover the information to bridge from the First Responder to the EMR in the state of Minnesota. It will cover the didactics as well as the skills for recertification. Part of the Refresher will be done on line.
