Structural Steel
This specification includes minimum requirements for the design of connections, fabrication, transportation, unloading, and erection at the work site for structural steel. This specification is for construction in Canada only. This specification covers the minimum technical requirements for the selection, surface preparation, application, execution, and inspection of liquid paint systems for external corrosion protection of onshore above-ground facilities, structures, and equipment. This specification covers recommended practices for: the preservation of mechanical equipment for onsite or warehouse storage; and after-installation preservation prior to the startup of the equipment and turnover to Operations. These requirements are applicable to preservation activities in the warehouse and on construction sites.

This specification defines the requirements for the painting of new and old concrete floors. This specification outlines a method for assessing the condition of existing paints on above-ground oil tanks for the Company. Maintenance repainting procedures are developed based on the assessment.
Lining L-110 Fiberglass Lining of Tanks This specification describes the installation of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) linings into above-ground oil storage tanks. This specification describes the repair of existing (not new) fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) linings in above-ground oil tanks due to lining breakdown, defects, or after structural repairs. This specification describes the installation of spray applied linings onto above-ground oil tanks. This specification defines the application requirements for lining materials applied internally to station or terminal steel pipe and spool pieces with an outer diameter greater than or equal to 20 inches.

This specification defines the requirements for the plant application of two-layer polyethylene coating to the external surfaces of line pipe. Application should be limited to line pipe with diameters of NPS 12 and smaller for use in environments that will impose minimal soil stresses. This specification defines the application requirements for plural-component coating materials applied to steel substrates for buried service. This specification is intended to provide guidance on the necessity for recoating pipelines and assemblies within the station boundaries when excavations for new construction reveal a deteriorated original coating. This specification defines the application requirements for coating materials that are applied by rolling or brushing to steel substrates for buried service. Spray application is not covered in this specification. This specification defines the field application requirements for the coating of girth welds using fusion bond epoxy (FBE). This specification defines the circumstances and recommended practice for spirally applying heavy-duty bituminous tape on buried pipe. When applied to bare steel, these materials should be limited to pipe diameters of NPS 4 and smaller. This specification defines requirements for the surface preparation and recoating of irregularly shaped belowgrade equipment with a conformable petrolatum (wax) tape. This procedure defines the circumstances and recommended practice to repair large coating defects, disbonded coatings, and the coating of new in-situ piping with spirally wrapped, hot-applied coal tar tape.
