This document contains specific courses that are recommended for Actuarial Major students that fulfill the Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree requirements. For the list of general B. Comm. (Hons) requirements please see the Degree Requirements section of the Undergraduate Programs website.

Notes:

1) SoA Exam P (Probability) can be attempted after completing STAT 2400 and STAT 3400 (Cover about 21 out of 23 SoA Learning Objectives) 2) SoA Exam FM (Financial Mathematics) can be attempted after completing ACT 2120 and ACT 2020. See Learning Objectives covered by UM courses for detail. 3) Minimum grade B in both ACC 1100 and FIN 2200 to qualify VEE Corporate Finance credit (see UM approved VEE courses). 4) MATH 2720 & MATH 2730 are the Prerequisite or Concurrent Requirement of ACT 2120 and ACT 2210. 5) STAT 3400 is the Prerequisite or Concurrent Requirement of ACT 3130.

1) SoA Exam MLC (Actuarial Models: Life Contingencies) can be attempted after completing ACT 3130, ACT 3230 and ACT 3530. 2) SoA Exam MFE (Actuarial Models: Financial Economics) can be attempted after completing ACT 3340 (or ACT 4000). 6) SoA Exam MFE and MLC are offered every May and November. Comments 1) Minimum grade B in IDM 4050 to qualify VEE Applied Statistics credit (see UM approved VEE courses). 2) SoA Exam C (Construction and Evaluation of Actuarial Models) can be attempted after completing ACT 4140 and ACT 4340.
