Setting Up External Tables

The Field Mappings tab controls the relationships between fields in external tables and fields in WindMil. Table is the name of the table that contains the field. Field is the name of the field itself Give a field a nickname by entering it in the Alias column. Select a WindMil Field that corresponds with the field in the external table. Turn on the Edit? checkbox, which saves the WindMil field to your external database when you save the WindMil model.

Setting Up External Tables

To complete the link to your external table, you must fill in the values on the Table Uses tab. Linking the table to the element type does two things: It ensures that data from that table appears on the Asset Management tab for elements of that type. If you selected the Edit? checkbox on the Field Mappings tab, it ensures that data from WindMil is saved to the table.

How to tell the difference between Primary and Secondary lines

WindMil does not need to know if the line is primary or secondary; it just needs to know it is a line. WindMilMap knows to draw primary and secondary lines differently, according to the output voltage of the Transformer. Can be adjusted in the Layer Properties
