EMR2 Safety-Update
1 2 3 EMR2-Safety-Update can be done with DEUTZ-Servicetool SerDia2000 Version 1.5.6 and Interface-Level 3 (plus Password) or with Level 3A. The password for Level 3 can be requested via emailadress emr2@deutz.com . Send the serialnumber of your interface box in the email. EMR2-Safety-Update, SerDia2000-Software and SerDia-Handbook are available on the following internet-link http://207.37.9.103/Service/Technik/Servicedoku/sis_publ.nsf/gestaltungsdokumente/ serdia/ 4 The related EMR2-Safety-Update for the different EMR2-Software-Variants is displayed in the following table. 5 Prior programming the engine-dataset has to be saved on harddisk first. Create a folder for your datasets please. Example: C:\Temp\EMR2\OldDataset C:\Temp\EMR2\NewDataset C:\Temp\EMR2\NewBSW

Description of the job Switch ON the ECU, connect the diagnosis devices (check Ubatt-lamp of the interface box) and start the SerDia2000-program. Check, if one of the above named EMR2-ECU-Software versions is present on the ECU. First save the dataset on harddisk (path C:\Temp\EMR2\OldDataset) by using SerDia-Menu overall programming. Please consider the naming of the datasets shown below. Download the corresponding EMR2-Safety-Update into ECU. "How to do" see SerDia-manual chapter 6.1.5.1.1 ECU-programming Download the "old" saved dataset back to the ECU by using SerDia-Menu overall programming Switch OFF and Switch ON the ECU (ignition OFF-ON) Upload the engine dataset by using SerDia-Menu overall programming and save it on the harddisk (path C:\Temp\EMR2\NewDataset) Erase errormemory 1 and 2 Check logistic data, such as engine serial no., engine operating hours and software version of the new software.

9 Because of the homologation of the engine you must put a sticker (label) with the new DEUTZ-PartNo on the ECU, near to the ECU or near to the diagnostic plug. You will find the new DEUTZ-PartNo in SERDIA, see picture. The sticker must be orderd via E-mail emr2@deutz.com.
