ABSTRACT
Worldview comes from German Weltanschauung or in Arabic as Ruyatul li al wujud. It is defined as a set of attitudes on a wide range of fundamental matters. Worldview encapsulates answers regarding broad questions of life understanding. There are many types of worldview such as Islamic worldview, scientific worldview and the other. In this paper, we will discuss about Islamic worldview in term of concept, objectives and humanity. First and foremost, Islamic worldview is defined by Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas as a metaphysical survey if the visible as well as the invisible worlds including the perspectives of life as a whole.

The concept of Islamic Worldview

Islamic worldview manifested the general ideas about the core elements in human for life understanding. Islamic worldview is not a worldview that is created simply by amalgamation or historical concoction of various cultural values. It is well established framework derived from the revelation and interpreted by Muslim scholars throughout Islamic history. Islamic worldview provides its believer with the correct and consistent answers to the ultimate element in humans life which are God, revelation and Prophethood, Gods creation, man and the psychological of human soul, knowledge, religion itself, freedom, values and virtues, hereafter and also happiness. Besides, Islamic worldview encompasses both element of al-dunia and al-akhirah in which the dunia aspect must be inextricably linked to the akhirah aspect. This is very crucial for human in order to give them guides in leading their life in this world also brings peace and harmony to the world (dunia). Firstly, Islamic worldview clarifies about God. The question about God is very popular and complicated to explicate for the humans understanding from a long time ago, as the element of God is the fitrah of human1. Every person that living in this world must and should have the feeling to seek about the element of great power that presence surrounds themselves. For instance, since the living of Neolithic people they are worshipping the fire, the sun and the others because they claimed that these things are the powerful elements that assist them in continuing their life2.

The worldview of Islam has given the most comprehensive explanation pertaining God. The Muslims should not face the complicity in the issue of God. Muslims will not ever to criticize about the worship to God as they knew that every person in this world has made a pledge with our God, Allah S.W.T for worshipping Him and follow all his rules.

When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful. (7;172)3 This is exceedingly different from what happen in the west especially when they are facing a serious problem pertaining God. This is prove when their philosophical scholar, Friedrich Nietzsche has made a statement God is dead and consequently give a massive impact and influence to their religion framework4. Secondly, Islamic worldview appeared to elucidate regarding revelation and Prophethood. The term of prophet is defined completely and there is a comprehensive guideline about the characteristics and aspects. Thus, Muslims will not face any problem when there has an obstacle regarding to this thing. To set an example, Muslims in Malaysia should not believe about the presence of Rasul Melayu, where they be

supposed to know that our very beloved prophet Rasulullah S.A.W is the last prophet that Allah has sent to the humankind5.

Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things. (33;40) Besides that, the framework of Islamic worldview told us that Holy Quran is the absolute guidance for human being especially Muslims. There will be no changes even for a small piece in the content and text. We also know that the Sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W will be the second guidance in term to reveal the hidden meaning in Holy Quran. Thus, there should not have the people who only prefer Holy Quran as their guidance and throwing the Sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W from their life. Furthermore, we must know that only an authorized person have a specialty in translated the Holy Quran and interpret the hidden meaning inside it. Nowadays, there has a group of people called liberalist where they interpret the Holy Quran without posses any required knowledge in order to translate and interpret it. As a result, the interpretation will not follow the right way and lead to the misunderstanding about Islam and its teaching. 'Abdullah b. 'Amr reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars, so that when He leaves no learned person, people turn to ignorant as their leaders; then they are asked to deliver religious verdicts and they deliver them without knowledge, they go astray, and lead others astray. (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)6

Thirdly, the powerful of Allah S.W.T has been mentioned in the framework of Islamic worldview when Allah S.W.T created this whole world. Praise to Allah S.W.T, that we have got the chance to get pleasure from all creatures in this world such as animals, flora and fauna and many more. The body that we have own now is not absolute ours as Allah S.W.T lend it to us in order to worship and doing amar makruf nahi munkar. Therefore, all creatures that exist in this world should make us remind to Allah S.W.T as when we see these creatures we will wonder who the creator is.

It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition?. (32;4)7 Previously, there has a man named Charles Darwin has claimed that species is originated by means of natural selection. Without deeper research and investigation, he made a conclusion that species has coming from the other species when the species has made an adaptation to its environment and progress to be the other species as a result of evolution. Then, there is a statement that human is coming from the most developed apes 8. This is very serious crisis for human thinking as they will refuse the existence of the power of God in the creatures. This is because all species come from other species by a natural process called evolution. In fact, there is no evolution in the real world as Allah

S.W.T has created all creatures in this world in a blink of eye. Unfortunately, all people just simply digest the hypothesis of Darwin although there are many aspects that can be refute. The impact of this hypothesis is the spreading of the new thought which called secularism. Eventhough secularism was started from the refusal of the existence of church in West in a daily life matter, because of this new finding by Darwin which led to the denial of the power of God; this thought has been absorbed by the society at that time9. It is becoming worse where the thought now has been immersed too by Muslims32. Fourthly, Islamic worldview embraces the aspects of man and the psychological of human soul. As a matter of fact, Muslims has been given two roles by Allah S.W.T. The roles are as a slaves and vicegerences of the world10. There are no doubts that when we always realize our roles and duty in this world there will be no deviation and astray. This is because Muslims should be the peacemaker of this world by following the absolute guidance by Allah S.W.T.

Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it was best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. (3; 110)

Islam is the religion that takes a good care of the spiritual part in man. The only difference between the practical of Islam and the other religion is every action done by Muslims is based on the concept of Tawhid. All of our action is because of Allah S.W.T. Moreover, paying a great attention to the quality of the soul or spiritual is very crucial in Islam. It is the equal significant as we take a good care of our physical element11. The Islamic worldview framework explains the presence of Ruh in human body. The humans ibadah in daily life was considered as the healthcare of the spiritual. In addition, there has a branch in healthcare known as spiritual healthcare which focus on the spiritual quality in one person. Even the other religions have their own ways in taking care their spiritual side such as meditation12. Fifthly, Islamic worldview comprises about the main thing in human life that is knowledge. Knowledge is essential for the survival of the humans it teach us what we do not know. Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas has defined the term of knowledge in a comprehensive way. He stated that since all knowledge comes from God and is interpreted by the soul through its spiritual and physical faculties and sense, it follows that knowledge, with reference to God as being its origin, is the arrival in the soul of the meaning of a thing or an object of knowledge; and that with reference to the soul as being its interpreter, knowledge is the arrival of the soul at the meaning of a thing or an object of knowledge13. The explanation is that knowledge has three main parts that are the party including in the production of the knowledge, the process leading to the production of knowledge

and lastly, the differences between knowledge and information. The understanding of this definition brings us to the realization that Allah S.W.T is the absolute owner of knowledge. Thus, Muslims should not have any doubt about the revelation as it comes from Allah S.W.T as nowadays many Muslims still confused regarding the effectiveness of the Syariah Islamiah in a human life such as Hudud. Next, the process leading to the production of knowledge consists of passive action and active action. When he mentioned the arrival in the soul of the meaning of a thing or an object of knowledge, this manifested the passive action and already given by Allah S.W.T known as fard ayn while the arrival of the soul at the meaning of a thing or an object of knowledge specified the active action which need the desire and effort to gain it and known as fard kifayah. Fard ayn is more preferable and must have In a Muslims from fard kifayah. However people now are creating the lower perception for the fard ayn knowledge without knowing it is a must. Finally, the spreading of thought that world has no boundary or the globalization and advance of the information and communication technology has turn all people can gain any type of information. But this do not make a person is knowledgeable yet. It is just a full information person. In addition, the term knowledge in Islamic bring a wider field rather than in the West when they claimed that science is the only and absolute knowledge. The West also concludes that there is no certainty in this world when Richard Feynman the receiver of Nobel Prize in Physics saying that Doubt is clearly a value in the sciences. Whether it is

in other fields is an open question and an uncertain matter...it is important to doubt and that doubt is not a fearful thing but a thing of very great value. Al-Attas has refuted this by saying that the arrival at truth is in reality the result of guidance, not of doubt. Doubt is wavering between two opposites without preponderating over either one of them; it is a condition of being stationary in the midst of the two opposites without the heart inclining toward the one or the other. Sixthly, Islamic worldview explains the divinity of the religion14.

The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His Will). (3; 19) Every Muslims ought to apprehend in order to core ambition of the religion which is worshipping of a person to its God with the divine guidance through his Messenger, Rasulullah S.A.W and set up the word of Allah S.W.T Laa ilaha Illa Allah in this world by doing Allahs right. Al-Attas clarify this with the enlightenment of the emergence of the religion in two modes which are microcosmic and macrocosmic part15. The most vital part is the microcosmic which refer to the submission of the human soul to his spiritual soul. This is also supported by the thought of the Islamic scholar, Hassan Al-Banna where he stated that the main element in the formation of Muslim country must start from individual not from the upper part16. Seventhly, Islamic worldview has made an early clarification about freedom in human life. Some claimed that freedom is when you can do what you want. This

10

statement has some problem where what you want is not always the true and right desire. Other than that, they defined freedom in a positive way that freedom is when you are free to do a good thing. Human is not free at all as it has the debt condition with Allah S.W.T where he comes in this world it all his body, ability and property is the gift from Allah S.W.T which require a feedback which is worship to Allah S.W.T. this is supported in Holy Quran where human has made a contract (al-mithaq) before coming in this world to worship only Allah S.W.T and consent that Allah S.W.T is the only God in this universe17. Eighthly, values and virtues are imperative in Islamic worldview. For instance, the West claimed that science is free value18. That is why there is corruption in western science. This is shown by the practice of vivisection for testing the effectiveness of the drug in treating a specific disease. The scientist use a varies lab animal including monkey, mouse, dog, cat, chicken, bird, and rabbit in finding the new drug because they claimed that animal especially apes has major similarity to human genetically. This prove that the practice of vivisection has no cognitive value, no medical value and justice because human has no physiological resemblance with animal and has been divulged by the person in charge Dr. Pietro Croce in his book Vivisection or Science: an Investigation into Testing Drugs and Safeguarding Health. Take the infamous drug thalidomide for instance which was chemically synthesized and then tested on life mice and the pronounced safe for human consumption as sleeping pill for pregnant women which then resulted in very many thousands of foetal deformities19.

11

Justice and amanah is the core value in Islam and should be implemented in Muslims individual. These subjects have been discussed comprehensively in wider aspects by the Islamic scholars. Ninthly, Islam has covered both element of dunia and akhirah. Hereafter is the absolute ending part in all human life. Universe is only the place for preparation in facing the obstacle in hereafter. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W has said that the most intelligent person is the one who always think about dead (narrated from Ibnu Majah)20. Muslims should not be in the loss group where they will get punished by Allah S.W.T because the deviation from the contract (Al-Mithaq). This is because Muslims have got all the recipes and secret such as the Holy Quran, and Sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W. The Prophet (saw) said, I have left with you two things that if you adhere to them, you will never go astray : the Quran and my Sunnah. (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)21 Lastly, Islamic worldview does not left out the value of happiness as this thing is most seek and crave by human. Al-Attas has defined that happiness is when a person get closer to Allah S.W.T and doing what Allah S.W.T love and forbid the wrong one 22.

O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition! (4; 26)23

12

Meanwhile the West defined happiness in a materialistic way and this bring the element of selfish and destructive to the natural characteristics of human. The German philosopher has made conclusion by saying We have not to rejoice, but rather to mourn at the existence of the world; that its non-existence is preferable to its existence; that it is something that ought not to be. This because they posse wrong worldview about life of human in this world. Clarence Darrow who is British philosopher perceives the life as the awful joke24. In a nutshell, every person should have the correct worldview for the life survival and of course Islamic worldview is the most comprehensive and true as it comes from divine revelation.

The Objectives of Islamic Worldview

The objectives of Islamic worldview always focus to the universal creation of the creator. It includes the relationship between man and his creator, man and human being and also man and others creatures. The main objective of this worldview is to make the human being live based on the Islamic principles of life in order to ensure they will keep them to be on the right pathway. Firstly, Islamic worldview provides the Muslims with the true knowledge and explanation about the world, seen and unseen as they are explained in the Qurans. The purpose of the state that may be formed on the basis of the Quran and the Sunnah has also been laid down by God. The Quran says:

13

We sent aforetime our messengers with Clear Signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance (of Right and Wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, Unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might (and able to enforce His Will).(57;25)25 The Holy Quran claims to be a Book of Hidayah as the guidance for man. It is a book that is available to all mankind-indeed it addresses itself, by and large, to the totality of mankind. Its message is relevant to different peoples living in different parts of the world. Further, its message is valid for all times to come-in other words, it is not a book that will ever be out of date. Islam goes even further than this. It urges Muslims to gain mastery over nature because, according to the Quran, all resources in the heavens and the earth have been created for the service of mankind, and because, as the Prophet said, there is no malady for which God has not created a cure. The purposes of Allah creation is to obey the rules of Islamic values. Hence, the ultimate guidance and significance that Allah had revealed in the Quran is to show to the human being about what has been created for them.

14

The Islamic vision of reality and truth, which is a metaphysical survey of the visible as well as the invisible worlds including the perspective of life as a whole, is not a worldview that is formed merely by the gathering together of various cultural objects, values and phenomena into artificial coherence. What al-Attas meant by artificial coherence, is a coherence that is not natural in the sense that mean as fitrah. Such coherence projected as a worldview must necessarily subject to change with the change of circumstances. These fundamental elements act as integrating principles that place all our systems of meaning and stands of live and values in coherent order as a unified system forming the worldview; and the supreme principle of true reality that is articulated by these fundamental elements is focus on knowledge of the nature of God as revealed in the Quran. Furthermore, as a Muslims, we should belief in all Allahs creation because Islamic worldview comprises both al-dunia and al-akhirah aspects, in which the al-dunia must be related to the al-akhirah aspect, and in which al-akhirah aspects has ultimate and final significance. Many believers must. Thus, it has shown to us that Allah had created all the things in the universe based on the purposes of his creation. Next, the objectives of Islamic worldview also to teach people the way and method how to achieve the main values of Islam in human life. Its object is to eradicate all forms of evil and to encourage all types of virtue and excellence expressly mentioned by God in the Holy Quran. Life consists of established, well-defined forms of mutual

15

love and respect, co-operation and mutual responsibility between Muslims in particular, and between all human in general. Islam is not a religion in the common, distorted meaning of the word, confining its scope to the private life of man. Its a complete way of life, catering for all the fields of human existence. Islam provides guidance for all walks of life for individual and social, material and moral, economic and political, legal and cultural, national and international. The Quran enjoins man to enter the fold of Islam without any reservation and to follow Gods guidance in all fields of life. A Muslim is one whose outlook on life is permeated with this consciousness. He is committed to the values of life given by the Quran and the Sunnah. He tries to live according to the guidance given by God and His Prophet and he strives to promote the message of Islam through his word and actions. We should do all things based on Islamic principles as it has explained in the Quran. It should be clearly understood in the very beginning that Islam is not a jumble of unrelated ideas and incoherent modes of conduct. It is rather a well-ordered system, a consistent whole, resting on a definite set of clear-cut postulates. All the rules and regulations that Islam has laid down for the different spheres of human life are their essence and spirit a reflection, an extension and corollary of its first principles. The various phases of Islamic life and activity flow from these fundamental postulates exactly as the plant sprouts forth from its seed.

16

Lastly, the Islamic worldview also helps people to establish the fundamental ethical percepts, such as justice, freedom, trust, and dignity of human life and existence. This is to make the creatures live in the equal of lifestyle. The spiritual principle upon which mankind can be grouped, according to Islam, takes the form of devotion to the ideal of justice. There are innumerable references in the Quran to the supreme necessity of establishing a just society, a just order. Islam is not an ascetic religion and does not aim at depriving Muslims of the good things that God has provided. It takes positive view of life considering man not s a born sinner eternally condemned for his original sin, but as the vicegerent of God for who has been created everything on earth. Virtue therefore lies not in shunning the bounties of God, but in enjoying them within the framework of the values for righteous living through which Islam seeks to promote human welfare. Objectivism holds that reality exists independent of consciousness; that individual persons are in direct contact with this reality through sensory perception; that human beings can gain objective knowledge from perception through the process of concept formation and inductive and deductive logic; that the proper moral purpose of one's life is the pursuit of one's own happiness or rational self-interest. That the only social system consistent with this morality is full respect for individual rights, embodied in pure laissez faire capitalism; and that the role of art in human life is to transform man's widest metaphysical ideas, by selective reproduction of

17

reality, into a physical forma work of artthat he can comprehend and to which he can respond emotionally. This philosophy which underpins Greenspan's worldview throughout his career as the chairman of Fed, has exacerbated the already distorted view of economic acknowledge that rest firmly on the dogma of absolute efficiency of free market in governing the economy. In a nutshell, people should aware about the Islamic fundamental of life. This will make them to realize more and concern to the Islamic civilization as well as to upgrade their weaknesses. Islam provides a window on the world of it. It presents Islam as Muslims believe it and covers the whole spectrum of its beliefs, values, social principles, cultural institutions and contemporary problems.

What Islam Gives to the Humanity?

Islam, as it has been declared by the Holy Quran, is the perfect religion and in fact the completion of the Lords favor upon man so far as the regulation of his life is concerned.

.This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favors upon you and have chosen for you Al-Islam as your religion. (5:3)26

18

This verse eloquently speaks of the fact that the favors of Allah in the form of Din (Code of Life) have been perfected in Al-Islam and nothing that is not rooted in it, whether in the form of belief or in the form of individual and social behavior, is acceptable to Allah. A religion as self-contained and realistic as Islam is must provide answers to all spiritual and secular questions and should offer to humanity not only a new metaphysical outlook, but a comprehensive programmed of revolution in human life-both in its individual and social aspects. Muslim religion comprehends the whole of life-its pattern of thought and behavior. It posits the ideal of a life in which, from the cradle to the grave, not a single moment is spent out of tune with or merely unprovided for by a religious ruling. No sphere is left in which the thoughts and deeds of a Muslim - both in his personal and public life are inconsequential to his fate in the hereafter. In brief, in Islam one cannot find a no-mans land to which religion does not lay a claim. That is the reason why Allah exhorts people to accept Islam in its entirety:

O you who believe! Come all of you into submission (to Him); follow not the footsteps of the devil. He is an open enemy for you. (2; 208)27 Islam is the only religion of the world which knows no distinction between the religious and secular, but views in one sweep the entire life of man. The philosophy of ethics , law and morals, manners and mores, arts and sciences, forms of social, political and economic organization including the nature of family and marriage side by side

19

with the problems of worship and theology have their legitimate place in the allinclusive system of Islam. The Quran calls upon Muslims to say:

Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds.(6; 162)28 It means that the whole life of man in all its spheres should be an expression of complete submission to Allah, the Creator of this universe and the Rightful Master. The basic concept of religion in Islam is that it is as vital necessity as the sunshine and air. Just as the Sustainer and the Nourisher of the world has made provision of all those things which a man needs for his physical development, in the same way, He has vouchsafed to him the Divine knowledge not only for the satisfaction of his religious yearnings, but for the fullest growth of his spiritual and moral self. The Lord who has created this world and all that exists in it and has created resources to maintain it and lead it to perfection has also given al-Islam, a Code of Life by following which man can find peace and happiness in this world and the world to come. The Islamic concept of religion as a complete Code of Life has in fact spiritualized all aspects of human existence. The fundamental physics experience in all other religions except Islam is that of denial of the impulse of life, a denial born out of the weariness of life. The case of Islam is however different. It teaches man to live with assertion and will. This religion in

20

contrast to the passive, quietest, resigned, attitude towards everything that is going on in world, exhorts a man to be an active participant in the struggle of life. Here the world of matter or that of the senses is not to be despised or hated, but shaped according to the will of the Lord. The world according to Islam is not a torture cell where elementally wicked humanity is to live for the purgation of its soul. This world with all its resources is a sacred trust from the Lord by means of which man can show his true worth. It must not therefore be spurned, but properly used. This body is not a prison but an effective instrument for the spirit to achieve its goal. Islam stands in striking contrast to most religions of the world in this aspect. In other religions piety is synonymous with the denial of life, on the contrary according to Islam piety stands for belief in life and its assertion and throwing oneself joyfully and resolutely in its arms. On the other hand, there is an uncompromising denial, on the other there is an incomparable hope and will. According to Islam there is no stigma attached to any individual and he shall not suffer for any sin committed by any of his ancestors.

Every soul earns only to its own account: no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another.(6; 164)29 These verses categorically repudiate the Christian doctrine of atonement and the inborn indignity of earthly life. Man is responsible for his own actions and his status in piety is determined by his own deeds and misdeeds. He is neither born sinful according to

21

the Christian idea nor is he originally low and impure and has painfully to stagger through a long chain of incarnations towards the ultimate goal of perfection. There is no conflict between the body and soul of man in Islam. Physical urges are an integral part of mans nature: not the result of the original sin, and therefore they are positive, God-given forces to be accepted and sensibly used for the spiritual growth of man. Piety in Islam does not consist in suppressing the demands of the body; it aims at co-coordinating them with the demands of the spirit in such a way that life might become full and righteous. The Muslims has been asked not to forbid themselves the use of the bounties of the Lord.

Say: Who hath forbidden the beautiful (gifts) of Allah, which He hath produced for His servants, and the things, clean and pure, (which He hath provided) for sustenance? Say: They are, in the life of this world, for those who believe, (and) purely for them on the Day of Judgment. Thus do We explain the signs in detail for those who understand. Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for

22

which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge. ( 7; 32- 33)30 It means that demands of the body are the integral parts of human personality and mans spiritual growth is intimately linked up with all other aspects of his nature, including urges of the flesh. Islam does not condemn outrights the appetites of man; it justifies them to the extent where a man can put restraint upon them and control them according to the moral consciousness and thus use them for spiritual development. The attitude of Islam towards the physical needs of a man can be well judged from the following Hadith. It is narrated on the authority of Abd Allah b. Amr b. al -As that he was once asked by the Holy Prophet whether it was correct that he observed fasts during the days and spend the nights standing in prayer. Abd Allah affirmed that. The Holy Prophet observed: Dont do that. Keep fast at times and break it at times, offer prayer and go to bed also. Your body has a right upon you. (Bukhari, Sahih: Kitab al-Sawm). God certainly says that man should renounce the idle pleasures of life and keep his urges and impulses under full control. But that does not mean gloomy life , nor perpetual and formal prayer in isolation. Gods service is done through pure lives in the turmoil of this world. No rabbaniyyah in Islam is the oft quoted saying of the Holy Prophet. It is narrated on the authority of Sad bin Abi Waqqas that when the wife of Uthman bin Mazun complained of being neglected by her husband, Muhammad S.A.W advised him, saying, monasticism was not prescribed to us. Do you detest the norm given to you by me? He replied in the negative. Upon this the Holy Prophet remarked: My practice is

23

that I offer prayer and enjoy sleep, I observe fast and relish food, I marry and divorce; he who deviates from the path shown by me has nothing to do with me. O, Uthman, your family has a right upon you. Your own self has a right upon you. (Darimi, Sunnan, Kitab-un-Nikah) The very chapter from which the above mentioned Hadith is quoted stresses the point that the Holy Prophet forbade people to retire from the world and devote themselves exclusively to prayer and meditation and to deny all worldly pleasures for themselves. Islam is not a religion of self-denial, but that of self-assertion up to the limit prescribed by Allah. It inspires confidence in man and persuades him to lead his life in a creative manner, and thus strengthen his individuality through active contact with his material and cultural environment. This strong, active personality is however to be dedicated to the service of the Lord. In brief, Islam gives human code of life in every subject matter. A man can find peace and happiness in this world and the world to come. A man also needs for his physical development both in his personal and public life. Islamic worldview must provide answers to all spiritual and secular questions and should offer to humanity not only a new metaphysical outlook, but a comprehensive programmed of revolution in human life31.

24

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Islamic worldview covers all concept, objectives and humanity. It comprises all aspects of life including beliefs, values, social principles and contemporary problems. It is the embodiment of the Code of Life which God, the Creator and the Lord of the universe, has revealed for the guidance of mankind. Besides, Islam gives the comprehensive effects to the human in the life here and hereafter. It teaches human how to manage their life based on Islamic guidance and moral code. It is to be found in the fact that Islam, as a teaching, undertakes to define not only the metaphysical relations between man and his Creator but also the earthly relations between the individual and his social surrounding. God Himself is a Unity not only in essence but also in purpose and therefore His creation is possibly in essence but certainly in purpose.
