About the Inventory
Every Organization during its life cycle needs to necessarily and continuously evolve itself to remain competitive. An Organizations Human Capital, coupled with Organization Practices focused on delivery, play a signicant role in determining the success and speed of this evolution towards competitiveness.

Assessment of Human Capitals Belief Factor to determine the future-readiness of the Organization is the rst step of this evolution. OCI comprises of a total of 18 statements divided into two segments. The First Segment comprises of 2 Statements assessing Belief Factor - Current and Future (readiness) of the responding manager on the Competitiveness of his/her Organization. The Second Segment comprises of 16 Statements categorized into 4 Factors that inuence the Competitiveness of an Organization. (Refer Fig. 1). These being:-

-Alignment of the Managers with the organizations goals - Organizationss resource capability and motivation! -Leadership and Organizational culture! -Customer Sensitivity and -Operational Excellence * All External factors (market environment, regulatory environment, etc.) and nancial capabilities (Fund availability, fund management etc.) of an organization have been kept as static for the purpose of development of this instrument. These Factors have been identied through various research papers, focused group discussions with top executives, and vast corporate experience of the researchers.

OCI is meant for assessing the pulse of the management cadre as this group of people dene and drive implementation of any strategic initiative in the Organization. For every Organization, it is essential for this group to perform to the optimum level of its capability for the Organization to evolve on the Competitive Scale.

Every participating Organization would receive a benchmarking report on both Segments (Belief Factor and Competitiveness Factor) along with a detailed Intra-Organizational analysis (basis the OCI) to assist them in taking necessary actions.
