Phillips Alaska/ARCO Alaska (four progressively responsible positions due to promotions) 1996 to 2002 Largest oil producer in Alaska, an owner of Trans Alaska Pipeline System, transporter of North Slope crude to west coast refineries. Human Resources Director, Polar Tankers/Phillips Alaska, Long Beach, CA Provided HR support to 350 employees, including 300 merchant mariners. Supported two unions, including a professional officers association, and multiple locations in four different states within highly matrixed national, regional and local organization. Key Accomplishments: Developed rapport with union officers and successfully addressed numerous grievances per month, avoiding need for arbitration during tenure.
