COOLING
Hitachi smart cooling chargers allow for constant communication between the battery and charger during the charging process. The smart charger will cool the batteries during charging and if necessary, will also cool the battery before charging to prevent damage. It has in-built overcharge protection and a back up charge timer to ensure no damage is caused during charging. This technology signicantly extends battery life.

Hitachi Li-ion batteries have a multiple protection circuit tted that monitors every cell in the battery. This protects the battery and tool by providing overload protection which stops the tool instantly in the event of a jam or overload. It gives over charge and over discharge protection which ensures the battery life is extended.
