Who are Chill Moody, Beano, and Hank McCoy?

Well that was more of a rhetorical question, so allow me to introduce their movement called Nicethings. Chill Moody is an ama ing emcee from !hiladel"hia with an interesting lyrical flow and delivery that#s accom"anied $y his unique voice. Beano is the singer in this merry $and of "erformers% he#s also a !hiladel"hia native. Beano is $lessed with a strong, soulful voice that#s hy"noti ing on any song he graces with his "resence. &astly and most im"ortant, Hank McCoy, the talented u" and coming "roducer for Chill Moody. ' lot could $e said a$out this gentlemen $ut (#m going to save those kind words for later. Now, since we all are acquainted with one another, let#s talk a$out the reason we#re gathered here today. )n *e$ruary +, -.+-, Chill Moody, Beano, and Hank McCoy released a "henomenal al$um called, Who Do You Love? /wo years later the trio is still continuing the 0alentine#s 1ay theme with a new al$um entitled, Who Do You LoveMore? /heir new al$um is availa$le *e$ruary 2 on i/unes. !lease lend me your eyes and attention for a moment or two and let#s get into what#s in store for you.

What is true Hi"3Ho" these days? 4/rue Hi"3Ho"#, that#s almost a funny statement to say when the Hi"3Ho" culture, as of late, has $een saturated with influences of other genres. /he essence of a quality Hi"3Ho" al$um emerges only once in a $lue moon. Who Do You LoveMore? 5ust might $e that rare al$um. ( really en5oy the great storytelling attri$uted through Chill#s artistry. His selective word usage throughout this al$um really hel"s "aint a vivid "icture of each su$5ect. /he 0alentine#s 1ay theme isn#t overwhelming, content and lyrical wise, $ut instead used cleverly. Chill uses this theme as a focal "oint throughout each song he#s featured on. He uses his ama ing lyrical storytelling to discuss relationshi"s, his love for $eautiful women, $eing an artist $ut still finding time for love and dee" intimacy. 6till7oung is a smooth, Hi"3Ho" and 89B song in which Chill conveys his $ond $etween himself and his woman. Chill is a$le to still kee" his Hi"3Ho" storytelling style on this song without com"romising his sound with Beano#s. 6"eaking of Beano, in my most modest o"inion he is the true gem of this al$um. When he#s 5ust featured on a chorus his graceful vocals own the entire song. His voice is "owerful yet sensual all in one note. Beano adds this e:tra sense of estful soul to the songs he#s featured on. /he way he carries a note and then switches u" his style on the ne:t song is truly astonishing. Whats*orBreakfast is a great song where Beano dis"layed his vocal mastery $y holding notes and riding the melody of the song. /hen in MoneyComing1own, he switches u" his whole style with more of a ra"id fire form of singing, $ut still his vocals are strong and soulful.

/hese two artists are great, $ut without the "roducer#s contri$uting hand their vocals would $e 5ust words. Hank McCoy#s "roduction always leaves me in awe whenever (#m a$le to hear his new material. He has always $een a classic 89B, soul driven ty"e of "roducer, $ut on this al$um he#s giving us a fusion of Motown and Hi"3Ho". /he "roduction quality, themes, and layers are truly ama ing for an inde"endent "roducer. ( really hate to "lay the com"arison game $ut the instrumentals on this al$um remind me of classic ;anye West "roduction <College 1ro"out and =raduation era>. Here is an e:am"le, ?ohn@lway is one of my favorite songs, $eat wise $ecause who could of thought of using /om ?ones# Not Anusual as a sam"leBidea for a $eat? McCoy actually re$uilt ?ones# $eat to his liking $y adding s"rinkles of Hi"3Ho" with a soft drum $ass and sna""ing snares. McCoyCs s"in of this almost cheesy "o"ular song into a smooth tem"o instrumental is quite im"ressing from a critic and fan#s "oint of view. (s this al$um worth you guys ears and time? ( would like to think a$solutely yes. Who Do You Love...More? is a great hy$rid al$um of Hi"3Ho" and 89B. Beano#s increased involvement and "resence on this new al$um, com"ared to their "revious colla$oration, ena$led his singing talent to shine. Now, ( am not taking anything from Chill Moody. emcee, $ut Beano really caught my ears. ( was actually looking forward to hearing Beano on songs $ecause his voice is so "assionate. (t#s always e:citing to hear an artist that#s ecstatic a$out his craft. Beano isn#t another "anty dro""er singer% he has this retro touch of 89B and enthusiasm in his voice. ( actually love itD Hank McCoy#s "roduction is insane and 5ust a clean, cris" sound. When ( say clean, ( mean the overall sound is equaled% the $eat doesn#t over"ower the vocals via $ass or snare. Who Do You LoveMore? is a great Hi"3Ho" al$um that ( can actually listen to $ack to $ack in one sitting. /he content of this al$um is very relata$le, fun, and intelligent that is graced with smoothness via Chill Moody and soul via Beano. Who Do You LoveMore? gets an ' for 'wesomenessD /his is a great, laid $ack al$um with simulating, catchy songs that ( could listen to at any "oint of the day.
