ing you crazy! You will walk out of this class knowing how to bake, fill, and smooth your cakes without the belly. You will be working with REAL CAKE! After you master the art of icing the cake PERFECTLY, you will learn how to decorate with the most popular side designs, rosettes, lacy brush embroidery, piping, ruffles with a new tip (you will be amazed), and stenciling (yes, on buttercream). We will have a discussion on the dos and donts of supporting your cake when stacking and safe ways of transporting. Buttercream recipe included. Class 2 Saturday March 22nd, from 12:30pm-3:30pm. Porcelain Pearls & Petals.

Class instruction will be on a smaller version of the cake pictured. We will do a two tier 6 and 8 cake. Bottom tier will be covered in fondant petals tipped in silver or gold and pearl dusted with airbrush to look like porcelain. Top tier will be covered in fondant and a small flower will adorn the side! (All supplies included except a box to transport finished product.)

class will teach you many different techniques. You will be covering cake with fondant, figure modeling bee, using gelatin sheets for wings, learning the proper way to work with Patchwork Cutters to bring daisies to life, making curlie Qs, and a safe way of stacking the TOPSY TURVY cakes for safe transportation! Many techniques for use in your everyday decorating! Supply List: rolling pin, mat to roll fondant on, and 10 box for finished project.
Class 4 Sunday March 23, from 8:30am-11:30am Baby Bottom Class. This adorable cake is great for baby showers or the arrival of a new little one. Learn to cover the cake, board, and bottom in fondant. Model baby legs and feet, make rows and rows of ruffles the easy way with buttercream, and learn the proper technique for using tappits. See how to make the waffle effect on the blanket too! I will demonstrate how to use your airbrush to shade and highlight babies feet and blanket. (Supply List: rolling pin, mat to roll fondant on, 12 box for finished project)

Pat Jacoby, owner of Patty-Cakes in Highland, IL is an award-winning cake designer with over 35 years of experience. Pat opened her
cake studio in May of 1981 and has been designing cakes ever since. Her skill in the design of cakes, stems from a lifetime interest in art and the love of creating something different. In addition to teaching cake decorating for years, Pat demonstrates new skills and techniques to her fellow sugar artists at seminars, cake club meetings, and ICES Days Of Sharing. She is also a frequent demonstrator and Hands-On Teacher at ICES (International Cake Exploration Societ) conventions. Pat travels the US and Canada teaching her craft and has a bi-monthly segment on Great Day St. Louis KMOV Channel 4. Pat was the assistant to Ashley Vicos in December 2008 in the Food Network Challenge Disney Classics Cakes. They took second place in that competition. In 2010, Pat and her team competed in two episodes of TLCS Ultimate Cake Off, winning first place in baoth season 1 (Fourth Of July Cakes) and season 2 (Vintage Wedding Cakes).
Credit Card Payments: All credit card payments are subject to a processing fee. If you cancel before March 15th the class fee minus the processing fee will be returned to you.
Anyone who cancels their payment directly through their credit card company after the event because they did not attend, or had an issue with the class(es), will be subject to fraud and will be asked not to attend classes or a DOS in the future.
